By the way, in the article, it's mentioned that Bidaai which completed 2 years, what r they talking about? It completed 2 years since long, much before the nonsense leap started, it did since Sept or Oct 2009.........

Sara Khan and Kinshuk Mahajan, two of the leading faces of the show that deals with the stigma against dark skin, left the show a month and a half ago.

The show took an eight-year leap, introduced two child actors, and brought in Sulagna Panigrahi and Apoorva Agnihotri as new lead characters. However, nothing could help the ratings from taking a downward spiral. "We touched upon the fair and dark skin issue highlighting the negative effects because there's tremendous pressure on everyone to look good," argues Shahi.

"But when we did this, we looked at other sub-plots too. I wouldn't say that the leap failed. It was needed in the show. Maybe the audience needs time to adjust with the way the storyline is proceeding."

@Bold: RS truely needs a reality check, Kyounki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, thought I haven't seen that show, run for almost 8 years or more succesfully, so what he says it's totally nonsense.........

Not only Kyounki, but even other shows like Kumkum, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ke, Kasuti Zindagi Ke, they run on longer than Bidaai with sucess, so he better checks what he says before making such baseless comments........

Bidaai run succesfully only 2 years or less than that, not more and now that useless leap, it turned it to full on flop 🤢

He truely very stubborn and flying high 🤢, aur woh bhi for nothing 🤢

Thought I haven't seen the shows mentioned above, but they surely did well far away longer than Bidaai..........

What RS says is like he can't believe the sucess he got earlier, but he better checks his comments, before making such baseless comments.......

Kyunki & other shows ruled as they did'nt have real competition in their respective Telecast time,just tell one show which had strong storyline which competed Kyunki or other show in thier Respective Timing & People just worshiped The shows at that time & they were not ready to watch other shows.They say Kyunki was axed because Bidaai changed the trend & people were bored of Kyunki & other shows .

Bidaai & other shows which are launched from past 2 to 3 years always Had competition & Bidaai is actually doing great & it is still in top 10

I think that article was written By someone who does'nt like Bidaai after the leap & can't accept the change & freshness the leap is offering

The Ratings is almost same before & After the leap ,that means People Have not stopped watching the show completely & if some people have stopped watching it ,then some people have started to watch it newly or again😊

Arre Sameera, don't be hurt dear. I didn't intend to hurt your sentiments by calling him Apoorva's character. I still am a big fan of Apu. The thing is, I am just not able to accept him as Ragini's soulmate and can't call him Anmol either, because of the Anmol-Anamika track you see. If they had shown Apu in Bidaai, but as a different character, then I wouldn't have any problems at all...I would have followed Bidaai regularly in that case just for him. These days, I am waking up at 9 o'clock, even though I feel extremely sleepy (as I am getting up at 4 o'clock for sehri) just to watch Apu in Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi (the reruns are being shown in Canada at the moment). But if you are hurt, from now on I shall try to think of some other name for him.😃

I agree the competition was not so big that time, but they were in anyway sucessful in more than 2 years, what he said is very baseless, he is so arrogant and stubborn, such people fell down with the time............

Bidaai which started before the leap is the new trend for the Indian television, not the one now, the one know is only repeated.......

The word great can never be connected with Bidaai or anything similar, it's an insult for the word itself..........

Bidaai was real and logical with its storyline, beautiful screen play ( kabhi kabhi bloopersss 😆 ) , dialogues, amazing star cast.. It was a treat to watch Bidaai, a fresh phase in Indian television.. Everything about it was natural.. Above all the pure love stories of SaAlekh and RagVir added more beauty to it!.. I dont know how this TRP business works, but people really loved the amazing jodies!! ... ( Still loving!😳 )

I am not a follower of the show after the leap, but I guess its defenitely not working for RS as he has lost its two pillars... Many of my friends has stopped watching it, since they lost the wonderful Ranvir and Sadhna...

I know there was a real big fight among the RagVirians and SaAlekhians during the SaGini rift track! .. Most of the fans went mad on it and divided the forum, Most of the mature people in this forum who considers it as only a mere fiction even went mad on it, all because these characters were living with us or we loved them immensly ( Atleast I believe so ).. So the fight came out natural! Atlast both of the fan groups lost their stars, So united together and joined hands to get their favourites back!! I remember Bidaai forum was once a beautiful place, all of them discussed about the storyline very constructively irrespective of the fact that one is RagVirian and the other is SaAlekhian.. every1 loved to come to such a forum.. I remember members having fun and masti here!!...

..For me, Bidaai was'nt just a fiction ...I know that sounds silly, still.... 😕

TRPS were down during that time,

Even the RagVir re-union ( mystery track ) raised the TRPS... Storyline was bad during SaAlekh divorce track, but people watched it just to see them unite..

So both are factors I guess!

Soo I believe, Along with the storyline, Jodies presence does influence the audience..

Bidaai has completely lost sense 😆 ... Going on with the most illogical track!!

Good for RS & SP may be but not for old bidaai fans!

True.Bidaai showed something different.When most soaps in SP concentrated on remarriages, children on different relationship and their utter complex problems Bidaai was the show that concentrated on a simple story of 2 sisters.It wasn't centered on a lovestory but central theme revolved around relationship between the two sisters.

Later on jodi's came.But the story line was absolutely superb with excellent star cast due to which people accepted Bidaai with open arms.Later on, when the storyline faltered, it was these 4 pillars that held Bidaai.Along with Sagini, AleVir also became an important part of the show and ofcourse our day to day life.They were almost like living with us and now all of the sudden something most illogical yet unexpected happened.

Earlier too, they showed many illogical tracks and during all those time Trp's have lowered but the 4 pillars, the beautiful petals of Bidaai was there.But now the story has lost it's essence.The original flavour of Bidaai is lost. New ingredients can only add to the charm but if the original parts are lost the essence is lost forever.....That is what which is shown through TRP's.

This is a fiction, and I do realize that, but being a fiction I accept something simple and sweet.Death and remarriage was just so bad and I do think many like me can never accept it.
