She's not exactly the lead, right? The story doesn't revolve around her..
But still, if audience are sensible enough, they can accept her..Because pregnancy before marriage is quite common these days in every part of the world. If her repentance is properly shown for the sin that she's committed, I don't see anything wrong in it. It's a daily issue the CTs would be dealing with.

She is a lead character like Anmol, Alekh. But Bidaai is a story of Sadhana-Ragini. In any story, there is one or more central characters and some main characters. The story is usually told from the central character's POV. This is little different in love-stories.

I agree, it all depends upon the script and how they present Sakshi's character in the future. But its more tough cos people will always compare her with Sadhana. If it was a new show then there was no issue.

Generation is also a talking point here..
Like see, Anmol was of Ranvir, Aalekh, Sadhna, Ragini generation..So, him being like that is justified.

But Sakshi belongs to this generation..She's not Aalekh's age. That's why I said that she's more of a present day lead..If people could keep that in mind, I don't really see a problem. And moreover, getting married to Aalekh wouldn't make her Sadhna right? 😆

And I'm damn sure that if Sara is introduced as some other character, which is totally different to Sadhna's..I am sure it wouldn't take a sec to accept the character! 🤣

Exactly! Even though the flavour of the season is atypical leads--it's hard to sympathize with Sakshi.
See Pratigya and Suhana are new types of leads because they're strong characters who are not willing to let people walk all over them. However, Pratigya at the end of the day is exactly like all the other lead protagonists-she's superwoman and strong believer of ethics and morality--the difference is she speaks up against injustice for the most part (Krishna is a big part of this but I don't want to get into that). Suhana on the other hand is completely different from any other lead. She makes a million mistakes, each one worse than the other, but at the end of the day her pure heart wins you over. She's one of a kind, not to mention downright hilarious! (Mods sorry for bringing other shows into this)!
Sakshi is different. First she's pregnant. Then she's trying to deceive RV house and trying to take their money with her boyfriend. It's like 2 negatives don't make a positive.

When people can love Krishna, why can't people accept Sakshi?! 🤣
Just because it's OK for a boy to be all bad, but a girl HAS to be very cultural and stuff?! Hehe! 🤣

Out of Suhana and Pratigya, I like Suhana a lot. Pratigya is more bhashan type heroine. lol What was she even thinking when she married her stalker for revenge ? It was him who saved her on all the occasions. Otherwise her in-laws are so crude and pathetic, she would have become another Kesar in one day.
I know its hard to sympathize with Sakshi right now but when she will start crying after Tarun betrays her big time and Alekh refuses to accept her then the audience will feel for her. Its the script that works as a magic.

Krishana is so innocent. He is just obsessed with his wife. 🤣

Suhana is more lovable because she has the laughter and the sense of humour which all the female leads of Indian soaps SO VERY BADLY lack! 🤣

I think Suhana is the true unconventional lead protagonist. You're absolutely right about Pratigya. She wouldn't be anywhere without Krishna to support her. She would very easily have become Kesar #2 even with her education.
The problem with Sakshi is also that she has the herculean task of matching upto Sadhna. Sadhna was way too good to be true. She was glorified to devi-level. It's practically impossible to match upto her. If she really is the lead and here to stay then eventually people will feel bad for her when she is betrayed and cries nonstop.
