They made Sdahna go to Lucknow,..the base/foundation of this track only is not solid...CTs showed us some scenes like Ragini's pictures are taken more, she lost her bracelet, she handled the money, so they want us to believe that she is in more trouble.
if they really wanted us to believe Ragini in more trouble, then they should have gotten Sadhna and Ragini different jobs initially, thus we could easily believe that the place where Ragini worked was not good...

as I have said before, when a show runs for many years, the original comcept is lost and it is stretched like an elastic with all sorts of unrealistic tracks.

You answered that question yourself multiple times in this thread. The CT wants to for once give Ragini screen space so Ragini is supposed to be in more trouble than Sadhna. Sadhna left for Lucknow because Sara took a break. Obviously the show's not going to come to a standstill because one actor is on a break. So Ragini had to face the problems of the money and losing the bracelet. It's the same thing as the mystery track. Why did Sadhna have to investigate and find out Ranvir's truth and Ragini just moped around and was not even in the loop until the very end when Mamaji/Mamiji and Sadhna told Ranvir to go get Ragini?
With all the evidences that we can foreshadow are going to go against Ragini, why is it so hard to believe that she is in more trouble than Sadhna? Atleast Sadhna's alibi for Lucknow is Vinu. Ragini hid where she was from Ranvir and I suspect her alibi is Anand, who's probably going to pretend he was never with her.
The original concept of society looking down upon dark skin was lost as soon as Ragvir got married. They should have continued with it instead of the crap we've seen for 1 year. Why oh why is this CT so sadistic?

Which one year crap are you talking about chocolover?

About the society and dark skin ... I feel that its accepted now that dark skin should not decide on someone's actual personality.... and thus was always stressed by Sadhna ... because Sadhna was always confirmed that Ragini is not ugly. Everyone else were concerned that Ragini was not externally beautiful. Due to this matter, Ragini suffered externally ... but Sadhna had to go through internal, external and more suffering hurled by every human ... not even spared inside her own family.

Those days are over ... there is no meaning to bring an endless loop...

The new track could be LIGHT HEARTED as Bani said ... its just a new day, and new light ... some happy moments.... TOO UNREAL?... TOO BORING?

I feel that it would really lit up the screen...
Atleast ... if the cottage track would last.... it would be truly spectacular....

With Saalekh managing a new life on their own ... while RagVir could handle the RH ...

It is my opinion that the last 1 year of Bidaai has been uninteresting and crappy. After Ragvir got married these main tracks were in my opinion not upto Bidaai's high standards: Sadhna-Shlok-Alekh + Ragvir MU track was terrible--in fact many hardcore Bidaai fans left to save themselves from the torture. The Ragvir MU track continued into the mystery track which I felt was slow-paced for a mystery and thus really boring. Also, I felt the suspense wasn't built up well and there were too many loose-ends. An absolutely amazing mystery in an Indian show was in Saath Phere where you would've never guessed the end! The next track was the rift track---which was definitely nothing but torture. Each and every single minute of it atleast for me. After that came the whole realizations and foursome moving out of RV house--which was wayy too rushed and had no real meaning to it left because of the rushedness. Now we are at prostitution. I see no light at the end of the tunnel.
Lols I-T, I think you mean skin color should not be the basis for judging a person right? I think you forgot the not.😆
Yes Sadhna and Mamaji have always stressed that outer beauty is far less important than inner beauty. And that's the main theme of Bidaai--how perceptions of beauty affect Sadhna and Ragini. Ragini because of her dark color is considered ugly. And Sadhna is considered beautiful because of her fair color. I mean a better track for Ragini/Ragvir than prostitution would be Ragini gettign teased about her skin color again and Ranvir-Ragini trying to deal with that problem. That was the biggest hurdle in their marriage, and not it's just gone? All of Vasu's friends at Ragvir wedding were making fun of Ragini's skin color. Vasu cancelled the reception because of it..but she has accepted Ragini and so has everybody in her family, but that doesn't mean society has. Especially the high-class society that the Rajvanshes belong to.
As for happiness and light-heartedness, well this is what i wanted to write about in the blog but I can't. Rajan sir, people watch shows as a form of entertainment, to forget about their problems for a little while and get entertained and happy, not to increase their tension and blood pressure. Prostitution does not make people happy, nor is it interesting or entertaining in any way. Do happiness, light-hearted tracks not entertain people? Are we so sadistic that only tears and problems entertain us? Why is Sasural Genda Phool working so well then? I see only light-hearted fun and no negativity in that show and it's becoming more and more popular. So why in Bidaai must we suffer through 11 months and 28 days of sadness and tears and around 3 days of happiness?

@chocolover89:

Yep, thanks for the correction on my post ... I forgot the 'not'. I am going to correct it myself now in the main post... 😊

Mamaji used to tell Ragini that she should concentrate on her inner beauty only ... IT WAS ONLY AND ONLY SADHNA who had confidence on Ragini being externally preety aswell.

Regarding the SOUL CONCEPT OF BIDAAI... here is how it is described in detail by the CT and the people associated with the show:

"'Bidaai' is a show of an orphan girl 'Sadhna' and her life's struggle with her biggest asset, that is her own 'beauty' which becomes her biggest curse.

Sadhna, an extremely fair and beautiful girl is in complete contrast with her cousin sister Ragini, who is dark and unattractive. However the two sisters share a great camaraderie of love and bonding despite the differences in their physical attributes. Brought up by her Mama(Prakash Chand) and Mami (Kaushalya) in the beautiful city of Agra, Sadhna a humble and simple person, is left upon the mercy of her relatives after an early death of her mother.

Her father (Kishan Chand) works in America with the only hope to someday fulfill his wife's dream of seeing their daughter's 'Bidaai'. But all this is far from simple, as Sadhna's mami has always hated her for her beauty and simplicity, which becomes the ground to emotional upheavals in the family.

Meddled with complexities, Sadhna's life is a portrayal of the Indian society's two-faced attitude towards a woman's beauty which on one hand is her greatest asset and on the other, her greatest curse.

With its strong cast line-up 'Bidaai' will witness coming together of the veterans actors ranging from -Alok Nath (mama), Vibha Chabbir (mami) and Mahesh Thakur (Father), while Parul Chauhan (Ragini) and Sarah Khan (playing the lead character of Sadhna) are the fresh young faces on the show."

ANOTHER WRITE UP ON BIDAAI SAYS:

"Bidaai is a story of two sisters, Sadhna (beautiful) and Ragini (unattractive). Sadhna is the adopted child in the family. Life is pleasant for Sadhna as she is beautiful but society is a bit rude and harsh on Ragini, who faces a lot more challenges because she is not good-looking.

Both the sisters love each other immensely and are good natured but societys approach towards them makes Sadhnas life difficult as her mother starts differentiating between them. Sadhna is treated like a step-daughter in the house and feels punished for her good looks but Ragini loves her unconditionally. All-in-all, the story is about these two sisters whose 'looks' determine their happiness.

This unique story embarks the journey of two sisters and makes one question the belief - Are beautiful people happier than ugly Bettys?
"

But I personally feel that the first write-up is more accurite ... because Ragini is not described Universally Outright Unattractive in the first write up ... and we all know that SADHNA's LIFE WAS NEVER PLEASANT.... Also, Sadhna never felt punished for her good looks, she never complained... she smiled at the most remote of joy she could get from anywhere, and repeatedly said to herself that Mami loved her. Although, at the end the second write up does signal the soul of the story, which is "Are beautiful people happier than ugly Bettys?" ... still, here the outright conclusion about one being a confirmed "Ugly Betty" is very unprofessional in my POV.

I feel that the MU track was ... an effort to tell us that Ranvir likes to work alone, and incase he must bank on someone's support, that would probably be Sadhna first.

As for the rift track ... no one liked it ... but that was a part of the story. Tell me, who liked the part of the story in which Romeo had to die for Juliet, and Juliet also died ... all being a part of confusion?...

Who liked it when Ariel, The Mermaid had to become a foam of the Ocean when she received no love from her prince?

Who liked it when Sheereen and Farhad could not unite even when Farhad had brought a river of milk from the heart of the mountain?

... But these are stories ... and this is just the way they are ... and this is just exactly the way they are going to be remembered.

We do no blame the authors of those Timeless Tales ... and I think its really not always justified to curse the CT for their tales. YES, they could do something more to make us happy ... but at the end of the day ... THIS IS THE STORY ... either we take it or leave it.... thats the bottom line.
😊

😊

The show uptil Ragvir marriage showed that Ragini faces a lot of criticism because of her dark color which unfortunately always gets compared to Sadhna's fair color. Again and again it was established that society perceives Ragini to be ugly because of her color. Even Ranvir in the beggining told his mom that there's no comparison between Ragini and Sonia because Sonia is beautiful. But eventually he learned that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder and Ragini is extremely pretty inside and outside.
And Sadhna's life is most definitely not pleasant but Alekh is doing his best to make her life beautifu now.
@underline
Sadhna practically cornerned him into telling her the truth. He did not go upto to her to tell her the truth just wanting to share secrets. Sadhna pretty much accused him of cheating on Ragini and trying to sabotage Alekh's future and being a terrible brother. Also, there's no way Sadhna could be responsible for Alekh's condition so it was safer to tell her than anybody else. Ragini was gone when he finally decided to finally spill the beans on what he'd been upto because he couldn't take Sadhna's accusations. So he couldn't have told Ragini. It most certainly wasn't something that could be discussed over the phone either.
To this date I haven't understood Ranvir's reason for his despicable behavior. His reason was "I didn't want to hurt you Ragini." With that track, it was obvious the CT decided to show some marital problems between Ragvir and so started with Ranvir acting really disgustingly and then realized that they have to not only redeem him but also exaplin why he didn't tell Ragini and they had no idea what to say so made up something completely ridiculous. Well on the forum itself there were better reasons posted.
True we can take it or leave. Well I took it for 1 year, and am now on the verge of leaving it and switiching over to happy and light-hearted shows completely! I've got enough issues in my life without having to watch some prostitution crap.

SGP and Pratigya are still in budding stage, we dont know what they will turn after 2 and half years. Bidaai was great in the first year also. Thats why its said, dont stretch beyond a certain point...

My point about SGP was that it's a happy and light-hearted track and it's working. The audience is not sadistic--we like watching light-hearted stuff too. Other than that I know its in the budding stage and don't how it will do after 2.5 years.
