ok so I finally saw the episode......and now I think I understand better what you are trying to ask Bani. When I was watching, the changing expression on Sadhna's face when Alekh mentioned Kaushi bringing out the truth and so forth. The only thing that came to my mind was that this isn't his OWN decision. There is a difference in learning the truth from someone else and opening your eyes and feeling the the truth on your own and opening your own eyes. Sadhna at that point seemed like he didn't realize on his own, it was because some one brought the truth in front of him. If he had jsut stoped the engagement on his own, saying "wait, I can't live with out Sadhna, I am leaving" would have meant way more to a wife then basically being told that you are doing something wrong. I don't know if I am just talking and not making sense......but I hope you get my point............😆....and of course ther bahu dharam followed.....

You're absolutely right Taral. I felt exactly the same thing! I'm sure this is what is in Sadhna's mind and I hope this is what they show! Sadhna would never have thought twice about this matter if Alekh had stopped the engagement without anyone else's interference. In fact, that is just what Sadhna had expected him to do before she gave up hope and started praying for his 'nayi shuruwat'! Yes, Sadhna is disappointed in Alekh and he has to fix this himself! It's his fault whether one likes it or not! 😔

exactly Taral...actually I wanted someone like you to see and critically analyse Sadhna's changed expressions, now you can make out what I wanted to say..actually Sara was very good in changing her expressions from love to expectation to abhimaan to confusion to dilemma and back again to love and duty (the kheer incident) ...how she changed her expression when she heard about Mamiji and everything...and then again when Alekh started to cry, she started to cry with Alekh..she is in a confusion...but as I have mentioned during opening the post...the first point I wrote was that Alekh believed her on basis of evidences and also that she did not like the idea that Vasu blurted out everything in public and that put the Rajvansh prestige at stake...

thanks Taral, its always great to discuss with you all

Thanks for the lovely comment...
Sadhna knows exactly Alekh's mental conditon, that he is just out of that mental problem, she will be all the more cautious and very composed while explaining to Alekh...because she knows Alekh is in a fragile condition and will not be able to take another slight hint of rejection from anyone..

What makes this feeling in Sadhna more stronger is the pre-cap. "mujhe apke vishwas pe vishwas nahi hai".............she doesn't say I don't trust you Alekh, she is strickly staying she doesn't trust the trust that Alekh has for her now..........why???...because that trust in him was not awakened by Alekh himself, but because Kaushi pushed Vasu to blurt out her truth in front of Alekh. Thought remorese and acknowledging your mistakes is usually the biggest step in recovering you lost respect and relationships, its bigger when that understanding is achieved by your own, which Alekh did not. So that trust that Sadhna can not trust is not strong enough for her to accept. He will have to prove himself

Oh I am sure of that..........she will find a way to make him realize.........what she is thinking...........she would never brush him off.....😳 they are just to sweet......it reminds me of the last part of Ramayan.....................Ram made Sita go through Agni pariksha because of society basically and everyone pointing fingers, even though deep down he knew that Sita can never be wrong, but he didn't trust that trust and gave into society, just like Alekh..........I don't remember the ending of Ramayan very well but it was Luv Kush that asked for justice and brought the question up to Ramji about the Agni Pariksha, where Ramji finally realized his mistake. But it wasn't until Luv Kush asking that he realized, just like Alekh again...........Thats if I didn't get the ending of Ramayan all mixed up.....😆

there are different versions available for Ramayan like some believe the concept of Chhaya Sita...Ram had a different issue, as a king his first priority was his "Praja" and its also said in some versions that Sita herself volunteered to go to exile, after seeing Ram's mental condition and that her husband was torn between the duty of a husband and a king...thats the greatness of Sita...A king gave exile to Sita, but a husband Ram always slept on the floor and led a simple life despite being a king, just because his wife is in the forest...for Ram, it was Sita only as he disagreed to marry again for the execution of Aswamedh Jagna, and put a "Sita made of Gold" and made the statue be beside him for the Puja...then Luv-kush incident followed and again some Prajas wanted Agni Pariksha...Sita did "Patal Prabesh"

Its said as an example of Karma that the guy who demanded Sita's agnipariksha was born again during Dwapar Yug when Ram incarnated as Krishna and then the guy was punished by Krishna...

didn't realize so many versions.....well I watched it when I was little.....I would love to read it in hindi or Sanskrit, but I can't read any of those. Besides english I cant read anything and I don't feel the same when reading holy scriptures in english it isn't the same as reading or listening to it in hindi or Sanskrit. that feeling isn't there. that is when I really regret that I didn't go to school in india or didn't get education here in the US in our languages. but thanks for the insight. I thought it was similar the way Ram gave in to his villiage and how Alekh gave into his Mother and both did injustice to their wife. both did the injustice because they felt a "duty" towards them, but at the same time giving injustice to their wife.

if you cannot read Hindi or Sanskrit, I'ld suggest that watch the serial Ramayan by Ramanand Sagar, its done in great detail and very authentic also. In the chat clubs of IF, find LalithaRoghunath's post on Ramayan and all the episodes are posted there. Lalitha is a teacher from NYC, and has great interest in all these...her work in the CC is really praiseworthy.
