when you see contrasting characters, then only one can make out which one is better...Mallika's character will make Alekh, and hopefully Vasu realise the worth of Sadhna... one needs to see both sides of the coin to decide the better one...

Mallika is in no way bad though, but a girl's strength lies mostly in her composed and sincere loving nature...

Alekh is so simple and naive, he doesn't know much about duniya-dari, politics etc etc. He can be easily manipulated by any emotional blackmail until he becomes smart. I think that Mallika will play a positive role in Alekh's life and she will help him understand certain aspects of life. His character will evolve and become mature.

Alekh and Mallika relationship has to be purely platonic, just like Sadhana and Shlok. I hope Mr. Shahi wont let us down.

I doubt that. They are already saying in the artical that Mallika will be more than a friend since Sadi is not coming back soon. Honestly I have no faith left on Rajan Sahi.
