I think Sad needs him the most because basically she is all alone............and if Vasu really truly loves Alekh she would never let him leave the house and intern agree for Sad to stay.............but if she chooses to let them both go.......well then that just proves the point........she is feeding her ego not doing it for her children.....if she lets them both go she is indirectly saying......i don't care whether my son goes or not.......i just was to kick Sad out and win and make sure she knows who i am.......And regarding the promise to Ranveer about taking care of his wife and unborn child.....i am sorry you didn't marry Ragni....and there is no child anymore.....I am sure that Ranveer wouldn't expect Alekh to take care of his wife and leave his own wife stranded. Ragni is not a small child that she has to be taken care of no matter what.......... Lets put it this way........if Sad had promised Ragni that she will take care of Ranveer....and something came up were she had to chose Alekh or Ranveer.......she wouldn't leave Alekh........
You are right. Alekh should have supported his wife. But there are so many factors involved here.
Alekh's situation is so unique.He has just recovered from his mental problems. This is the first time he can do something for his family. I know you will say what about Sadi...she has done a lot for him as well. But Alekh holds himself responsible for Ranveer's condition. Alekh is not like Ranveer or Vinu. He is different, may be he still doesn't know how to maintain a balance in relationships.
Most importantly he feels guilty for mistreating his mother for past 20 years and causing her so much pain. He feels terrible and doesn't want to repeat that at any cost. Hopefully when he will see Vasu's true colors, he will change.
