The best and purest relationship on this earth is the relationship between a mother and a child. Ambika might have done anything to Vasu, might have killed her, but what she did to Alekh is unpardonable. The way she was talking about Alekh yesterday, when Alekh was sleeping, infront of whole Rajvansh family, I feel as a mother, Vasu should have slapped Ambika for doing such bad and then cursing Alekh like that. What if, Ambika is older than Vasu, but when it comes to the welfare of her child, a mother can even go to the extent of killing the child's enemy. And this only a mother can do.
It would have been very apt if Vasu had taken a drastic step, at least when Ambika was telling that Alekh will never become normal...

Just a slap.... the answer is a big NO.

Its very hard to digest what creatives are showing in Bidaai. For a woman like Vasu who cares mostly for herself and her family doing the goodie-goodie sister act is highly unbelievable. It is the same woman who was ready to eat anyone alive when she thought that they are going to hurt her precious son Alekh. Any mother would kill the person who ruined her chilld's life no matter how she is related to the person.

What can I say about the Rajvansh men ? Spineless is the first word that comes to my mind. How can they bow to Vasu or Ambika all the time ? First it was Vasu now its Ambika...ha ha ha

My only guess is that Vasu and Inderjeet are feeling guilty about Ambika's condition. Still there is a limit to everything that Ambika has crossed big time. This lady has shown no sign of remorse for her actions.

The first time I saw Indrajeet uttering some sense was when he shouted at Ambika after he heard how Ambika took away medicines from Dadaji, when he was dying...

these men are completely spinesless.... you are right

I know well that what Ambika did is really bad, but I would never support the idea of Vasu slapping Ambika, a younger sister slaps her elder sister, they can find many other ways to put a point to this kind of situations..........
Beside this what would slap do?, it would only give a bad impression that Vasu slaps her elder sister.........

The day one gives birth to a child and Gid forbids, someone does such bad to that child, then one would forget that the sinner is your elder sister. Only a mother can feel the pain and a mother can only punish. Its the rule of the universe that a mother or "Janani" is responsible for the safety of her child. And the relationship of a mother and child surpasses all other relationships that a woman has.
Secondly, Rajvansh family follows the Hindu religion, as shown. In Hinduism, once a girl gets married, her maayka relationships are taken over by Sasural relationships. In this case, although Ambika is Vasu's elder sister, after marriage Vasu is Ambika's Jethani and relationshipwise, she is senior to Ambika. In Ramayan, Laxman was agewise senior to her Bhabi Sita. But since Sita was his elder's brother Ram's wife, Sita was senior to him in that respect. The other day, creatives showed that everyone was asking Ambika to touch Vasu's feet, but the creatives should have explained the significance of it. Since Indrajeet is elder to Satyen and Ambika is Satyen's wife, traditionwise Indrajeet and Vasu are superior.
In our society, still the girl takes up the husband's surname and all his relationships after marraige. Since Rajvansh family is bound to Hindu tradition and culture, it is very important to know the meaning of our customs.
These days we have become modern, but truth is neither we know our history properly nor our traditions, although we speak very big about these.

Om shanti i do not agree with you mythological views. ok blood relationships alwyas stay that way. jsut becasue u become ur elder sister's jethani, does not mean u can treat her like a devrani. ok you have to show teh same respect as before throughout ur life. and hello it is the 21st century, not everyone is into teh whole Ramayana and mahabahrat thing. ok we have to prosper and change along with time. i mean i am sorry, no offence but ur very old fashioned. ok ambika should have never touched vasu's feet. look at sadhna, she stopped ragini from doing that. i dunt care so much about tradition and culture, the sturcutre of the relationsup might chage, but the reality ( the original relationship never changes). what ambika did to alekh was wrong, but what vasu has done to ambika is also very wrong. ok so to me it is more like what goes around coem around. oh u said that lakshman was senior to sita, yet he touched her feet, but guess what he was a man, and bak in thiose old times looking at other woman was even a crime. so he only looked at sita's feet when he talked to her, it was mostly becasue of his devotion and passion for his brother Ram. and if u look at sadhna and ranvir. ranvir calls her bahbi and sadhna still respects him by calling him ranvir ji, because he is older than her. and plz stop comparing old times to new time as the context of religious beliefs have changed over times.

Its very sad, that people take the lessons from Ramayan and Mahabharata and shloks of Gita as old fashioned. No wonder that people appreciate half-naked girls, hot boys, but forget to look at the culture in them. Also, they try to misbehave with in-laws and try to stay separate with husband, because this is the culture girls in our society are imbibing. We dont need to go further, some posts in this forum will suggest Ranveer and Ragini will stay separate and have romantic moments together, Sadhna should leave the house as Vasu did not hug her. If nothing, but atleast try to appreciate the patience that girls should have in them as is depicted in the serials. Women are considered to have more strength than men, and thats the reason they can bear the pain to deliver a child. And a mother who has such a bond with the child that her blessing as well as curse can bring miracles and devastations.
But when people want to get rid of some sins, they quickly take refuge in the lessons from the epics. The problem with our society we try to copy western culture in dito, but forget that we have a tradition which is highly enriched also. If you look into history, you will know that the origin of Aryan civilisation starts from our culture only. But our own people depict our culture and demean it, as quoting some unfavourable situations like untouchability, which has a clearly distinct meaning.
I can enter into a long discussion with you regarding the relationship of Ram, Sita and Laxman, but I personally feel you will run short of documents.
My dear, I didn;t want to tell you, but since you have called me old-fashioned, I'ld like to tell you if you open my credentials and have a look at my cv, many of your heads will start rotating....

sweetyi dunt wanna argue with you. we have different opinions. you are old fashioned who believes in stiking to traditions and culiture, which is good for you. but i am a modern women. i live in canada and i am studing law at one of the most top universities. i am 21, and yes i do have some indian values. but i am also very open minded. i keep my self up to date with time. and i do not believe that women need a men in their life to be happy or every women should achieve one goal, and that is to get married. Men and women are equal. therefore the only important thing iin life is a snese of achievement through higher education and wealth and status. ofcourse having a loving family or caring about other ppl is a a bonus. ok and the stuff u worte, just shows how anti post-modern u r. ok but sweety here is a wakeup call, it is the 21st century. and as for ur credentials, my dad is an engineer who earns a lot of money than u prolly do, as he earns it in dollars. ok and guess what even my dad is more modern than u. he has 2 daugthers and he has never so far made any difference between daughters and sons. he even tells me and my sister that our goal in life should be gettting education and having a career, not marriage. and what does most indian shiows show us, that girls go to college and get education, but after getiing a degree they get married and remain dependednt on a man. so in many ways, indian shows have not really changed. i dunt wanan argue with u, but i just dont agree with how u view the whole vasu and ambika's relationship. and how it was ok for ambika to touch her younger sister's feet. ok by honoring certain relationships and tradition, you cannot loose your self respect in the process. SELF RESPECT is one of the most important thing in a person's life.
