I think the point of Vasu and Kaushi is the contrast between the mothers. And Kaushi is the terrible mother, while Vasu is the good mother. We can see that prejudice in both women result in them doing evil acts.

On one hand, while we all know that Vasu is terrible about color, she is still shown as a really great mother. The reception was cancelled because she was worried about insults, not because she herself hated Ragini or wanted to hurt her. Why should she be insulted, really? Whats the point? Yeah, she should not care, but realistically, everyone cares about comments from their friends.

I think the point we must remember is that Ragini IS her bahu, and she treats her well enough that Ragini is happy right now. It might be dekhava, but it is to keep Ranvir happy, and when it comes to her kids, Vasu does whatever she needs to to make them happy. Look at Alekh-she hated letting him go for the honeymoon, but his happiness came before her. What she is as a saas doesnt change what she is as a mom.

In Kaushi's case, I have no explanation for her character, she must be slated as a villian right about now. She is not a good mother, she is in fact Ragini's main enemy if she continues this train of behavior. Has she considered that all her enemity for Sadhna will lead to problems, not just between two sisters, but between an older Jaitani and younger Devrani?

At the end of the day, she will be the cause for any upcoming problems and the love between sisters, wonderful as it is, will not be able to prevent misunderstandings when Kaushi has her way. What the hell is she trying to do? What is the problem with two BROTHERS going on a trip with their wives? Who is she to have such opinions? You married your daughter off, her in laws decided whether she would go on her honeymoon alone or with a huge party. Who gives you the right to treat Sadhna badly? I just hate her character right about now.

Bidaai will become very cheap if the creatives start showing jealousy or differences between Sadhna and Ragini... both are very precious characters and one can learn so much from both these characters.

Fight/ misunderstanding between Sadhna and Ragini will reduce it to a petty storyline. I feel the creatives should concentrate more on the unity of the two sisters under adverse circumstance.

Jiya,I don't think the two sisters will be at loggerheads in the future.......there might be some misunderstandings but I have a strong feeling that both Sadi & Ragi will try their level best to maintain peace for the sake of their family.......they will unite together to protect the family's prestige and their strong sisterly unprecedented bonding will actually pave the way to bridge the gap among the elderly Rajvansh....as for Kaushi...well she would have to come to terms to the fact that she was wrong in her misconception of Sadi .....I'm sure the creatives here will not disapoint us....the consistency of the storyline will be retained without going OTT.....the sisters deep affection for each other will prove to be a powerful tool against all odds......

if they r going to cause any misunderstanding then def bidaai will loose its charm
