Choti ma already explained that Alekh's condition is due to his Grandfather's death for which, i think he thought he was responsible or something because when the police came for the inquiry (as was probably just standard procedure) he was afraid to go near them thinking that they would take him away for his grandfather's death.

Schizophrenia is defined as a group of mental disorders characterized by abnormal thoughts, moods, and actions; sufferers have a distorted sense of reality, and a split personality (thoughts do not logically fit together).

Alekh can't be schizophrenic as his process of thoughts, opinions and gentle nature are abilities that he would not be able to have if he was schizophrenic. Although he does have an irrational behavioud to police and knives, he never displays irrational mood swings and his understanding of reality is at times better than the majority of 'normal' characters on the show!!!!

Schizophrenia is a sensitive and complex issue and a lot of the times it's not appreciated if the label 'schizophrenic' is given lightly whether to a tv character or real-life person

but I think Vasu was the one against alekh's 1st love & when his love died alekh went mad.

First of all, Alekh is the elder son of the family, as when Sadhna got married, Vasu tells Avni to touch Sadhna's feet as Sadhna is the eldest Bahu of the family

Secondly, Alekh's condition can never be (if Choti Ma is right) because of Vasu snatching his love away from him, because when Alekh fell down the stairs for the second time and then when he couldn't recognize Sadhna, then Sadhna asked Choti Ma about Alekh's past, and Choti Ma said that Alekh was very close to his grandpa and at one diwali night (when he was 8 years old) he wanted to go to his grandpa's room, but others told him to not visit him, but he still went and saw that his grandpa is dead and then when he was coming downstairs to tell it to everybody he fell down from the stairs and lost his senses. Later when he came to his senses he started to think that since he went to his grandpa's room even after everybody saying no, that's why his grandpa died. He started to blame himself for his grandpa's death. And from then, he became like he is now, his body has grown up after that, but his mind still remained in the state of an 8 year old. And since it happened in a diwali night, that's why Alekh is scared of crackers because when all of that happened crackers were bursting outside. Well, these are what Choti Ma told Sadhna. And when Sadhna asked that why does he hates his mother (Vasu), Choti Ma avoided it by saying that she told her whatever she knew

Thirdly, Vasu and Ambika are sisters because in the early episodes of the show, Ambika once said that she is Alekh's Masi cum Chachi. Now, in my opinion, I think Ambika is the elder sister but is married to the younger son, and Vasu is the younger sister but is married to the elder son, because we can always see that Vasu calls Ambika only "Aap" but Ambika calls Vasu by her name

Lastly, about the topic of the thread, there is always a possibility that Alekh can be Choti Ma's son, maybe only Choti Ma knows it and not Vasu. It can be that both Ambika and Vasu were supposed to give birth at the same time, but Vasu gave birth to a dead child and Ambika gave birth Alekh, but since Ambika is the elder sister, so she sacrificed her son to Vasu thinking that it will make her younger sister happy or something like that. That's just my opinion, I don't think that Alekh is Choti Ma's son, but if he were, then that can be the reason according to me
