First the way they depicted Aalekh's reaction to learning the truth....Conditioned on years of watching K-shows, we've all but come to expect the earth shattering upon a certain character hearing such a revelation and then over the top reactions, endless draggin on etc. etc.
But the way it was shown in Bidaai....so poignantly simple....Aalekh with his childlike mind handles the situation in such a heart-tugging way that few adults would have managed it.....The way he helplessly says, "I know I'm not normal....lekin main kya karoon"....Angad was very good in that sceneš....and I loved the simplicity with which Saalekh professed their love for each other as well.....Fantastic scene!
I also really liked the way KC was depicted in this show.....again, most K-show Karvachauths consist of over the top KC parties with deafening mantras or filmy songs playing along....but in this show, we got to see KC being celebrated in different ways by the different couples, and yet it was all again so beautifully understated and simple....Ambika-Satyendra's KC stood out the most....their love shone thru in the most understated of ways! Malti's KC was funnyš.....Saalekh's was adorable! Aalekh with his child like inquisitive nature makes everthing so endearing! And it was good to see Sadhna smile briefly in all this misery.
Lastly, the very last scene b/w Ragini and her father.....such a beautiful scenešš.....Just the way he comes and places the book in front of her, pointing to a paragraph...."Zindagi kya hai, bas utaar chadhav ka ek silsila.....Insaan ke wajood ke liye zaroori hai har haal mein aage badhna" Such simple yet profound linesšš......a basic truth of life.....I was just so touched by the way her father explains this to her.....Alok Nath is just brilliantššš
