Part 8
Hey guys!!! I finally updated my story after a long time. Hopefully it doesn't take me so long to update the next chapter. Hope you guys enjoy it. Feedback is always welcome.
The next morning Dhairya wakes up feeling like he is on cloud nine after his romantic date with Santoshi last night. He was in such a good mood that he wasn't even upset that Santoshi had already woken up and was downstairs preparing breakfast for everyone. He decides to quickly get ready and head downstairs to see what his lovely wife had prepared for him this morning. As he heads downstairs, he is grinning from ear to ear and has an extra bounce in his step and thinks "Nothing can ruin this day." When he gets downstairs he was expecting Santoshi to come and serve him breakfast but instead he sees Santoshi serving some other guy breakfast and smiling at him. Dhairya thinks to himself "Who the hell is he?" Before he could wonder any longer Santoshi calls him over and says "Dhairya, I want you to meet someone." Santoshi says "Dhairya this my childhood friend I was telling you about last night, Kiran." (In my story Vin Rana is playing Kiran. I know awhile back it was either Rajni or you Symphony who said he could play the guy who makes Dhairya jealous? So I decided to go with him as Santoshi's childhood friend. I hope you don't mind?) Dhairya with a dumbstruck face stands there and thinks "Her friend is a guy?" I thought Kiran was a girl." Santoshi taps Dhairya on the shoulder and says "Where did you go just now?" He says "Ah... no where, you were saying." Santoshi says "Kiran is town for a few days and dropped in for a surprise visit." "Kiran this is my husband Dhairya." Kiran puts his hand out to shake Dhairya's and says "Hi, it is nice to finally meet you." Dhairya shakes his hand. Kiran says "I am sorry I could not make it to the wedding, family emergency." "Saani has told me a lot about you though." Dhairya looks confused and says "Saani?" Kiran says "Ya, Santoshi's childhood nickname." He looks at her and smiles and says "Only I call her that though." Santoshi smiles, while Dhairya looks at Kiran apprehensively. He can't help but notice that Kiran is tall, good looking and well built, and by the looks of it got along with "his" wife very well. He sat down and watched as Santoshi interacted with Kiran and served him parathas (apparently they were his favourite) and Dhairya didn't like it one bit. Meanwhile, Madhu noticed how jealous Dhairya was getting and decided that the perfect opportunity had come to finally get Santoshi out of this house for good.
Madhu interrupts everyones chattering and says "So Kiran how long are you in Lucknow for?" Kiran says "Aunty, I am here for a few days for a meeting then I head back to London." "In fact I should be heading back to my hotel now." "I just wanted to see Santoshi while I was in town." Dhairya looked relieved that Kiran was leaving when Madhu says "Beta, why don't you just stay here?" Dhairya looks at Maabhi in shock while Kiran says "No, aunty I don't want to trouble you." Madhu says "It is no trouble beta, you are Santoshi's childhood friend and I am sure she would like to spend time with you." Pratap chimes in and says "Yes, Kiran beta stay here with us, we have plenty of space." Kaka also agrees and says "Haan Kiran stay." "It is Santoshi's birthday day after tomorrow and we are going to have a party, so you must stay." Everyone tries to convince Kiran to stay, while he looks towards Santoshi for approval. He then says "Santoshi do you mind if I stay here?" Dhairya looks at Santoshi and sees that she would be happy if Kiran stays, and not wanting to be the jealous type says "Of course she does not mind." Santoshi looks towards Dhairya shocked that he would invite Kiran to stay with them and then smiles at him for his kind gesture. He looks at her and smiles back sweetly.
Upstairs in their bedroom Santoshi says "Dhairya, I am surprised you let Kiran stay here." Dhairya says "Why are you so shocked baba?" "I know you think I am the overly jealous type but I am fine with your friend staying here." Santoshi was skeptical but put her thoughts aside. She is about to head downstairs when Dhairya grabs her from behind and whispers in her ears "Where do you think you are going?" Santoshi says to see if Kiran needs anything. Dhairya says "Kiran is a big boy, I am sure if he needs something Pushpa can help him." "I mean did you see her all over him during breakfast?" "Yes Kiran sir, sure Kiran sir." Dhairya smiles and laughs and says "I think she might have a crush on him." Santoshi shakes her head and hits Dhairya playfully on the shoulder and says "Well she wouldn't be the first." "All the girls in school had a crush on him." Dhairya's smile immediately fades away and he thinks to himself "I wonder if Santoshi was one of those girls?" Not wanting to think of Santoshi liking any other guy he shakes the thought out of his head and pulls Santoshi close. He goes to kiss her on the lips when he hears someone clear their throat. They break away seeing Kiran standing in the doorway. Kiran says "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt, but I couldn't find Pushpa and the tap in my bathroom is not working." Santoshi pulls away embarrassed and says "Don't worry Kiran I will help you." They leave and Dhairya sighs in frustration and says "So much for nothing ruining this day."
It is afternoon and Dhairya decided to come home early from work to spend some quality time with Santoshi. He calls out for Santoshi but gets no response. He thinks that the house is awfully quiet and says "Maybe no one is home." He sees Pushpa and says "Pushpa where is everyone?" She says "Kaka and Kaki are at the mandhir, Madhu madam is resting and Santoshi is outside with Kiran." Dhairya gets jealous and thinks "This Kiran is really starting to become a kabab mein haddi." Dhairya goes outside to see Santoshi planting flowers in the garden while Kiran is swimming in the pool. He thinks to go over to Santoshi and surprise her, but instead stands from a distance and silently watches her as she plants the flowers. He watches as she rubs her nose with her hand and accidentally rubs some dirt on it. He smiles and thinks how cute she looks. He decides to go towards her when he sees her get up to get the hose. Dhairya notices that there is a lot of water on the ground and that Santoshi is not looking and sees her start to slip. He screams "Santoshi!" and starts running towards her. Santoshi anticipates falling into the pool when she feels a pair of strong hands holding her tightly. She opens her eyes to see that Kiran had caught her. Dhairya comes there to see Kiran's hand on Santoshi's waist, while Santoshi had one hand wrapped around Kiran's neck and the other on his chest. (Note: Vin Rana has a six pack and is muscular so you can imagine him all wet in his bathing suit holding Santoshi close.) Dhairya seeing this starts to burn with jealously. Santoshi and Kiran break away and Dhairya comes over and hugs her and and says "Santoshi are you okay?" "You need to be more careful, you could have slipped and fell in the pool." Dhairya then looks at Kiran, and although he was jealous, he said "Thanks for saving my wife." Kiran says "Don't worry Dhairya, I won't let anything happen to Saani, I will always keep her safe." Dhairya thinks "No need to keep my wife safe, I am here." He takes Santoshi inside while Madhu, who had watched the whole scene unfold, smiles and turns off the hose. She thinks my plan is working." "Now I have to start placing doubts in Dhairya's mind against Santoshi."
Later that evening everyone is sitting in the living room after dinner chatting and drinking chai and Madhu says "Kiran, Santoshi told us you are a good singer, you should sing us something." Kiran says "No, no aunty, I am not that good." Santoshi says "Kiran don't lie, you are a great singer." "Please sing us something." Meanwhile Dhairya thinks to himself, "Oh so chocolate boy can sing too." "Next, Santoshi is going to tell me he good at poetry too." On que Santoshi says "Kiran is not only a good singer but he is also very good at poetry too." Dhariya rolls his eyes. Santoshi then says "Please sing us a song." She gives him her best puppy dog face and says "For me?" Kiran caves and says " For you, anything." Dhairya glares at him but Kiran does not notice. Madhu then interjects and says "Kiran sing us something romantic." Kiran starts to sing Soch Na Sake and every so often he would glance at Santoshi which did not go unnoticed by Dhairya. When the song is over everyone claps and praises Kiran, everyone except Dhairya. Santoshi notices this and elbows Dhairya who says "Ow, what was that for?" She says "Didn't Kiran sing beautifully?" She gestures for him to say something. Dhairya non enthusiastically says "Ya, you sang great." Santoshi just gives him a look of disapproval and goes to put the dishes in the kitchen.
It was getting late so everyone said their goodnights and decided to go to bed. When Santoshi came upstairs Dhairya was already sleeping. She too was tired and decided to head to bed when she noticed that the water jug near the bed stand was empty. She thought to her self "I thought I had filled it up earlier." She shrugs and thinks "Oh well I will just go downstairs and fill it up again." When she goes to the kitchen she sees Kiran there, and at the same time both of them say "What are you doing up?" They both point to their empty water jugs and laugh. Meanwhile Dhairya wakes up and sees that Santoshi is not in their bed. He decides to head downstairs to see what is taking her so long. When he gets to the kitchen he sees Santoshi and Kiran in the kitchen talking and laughing. Madhu also comes there and says "Dhairya beta, what's wrong?" Dhairya says "Nothing Maabhi." She sees Kiran and Santoshi laughing and says "Are you feeling jealous that Santoshi and Kiran are talking late at night." Dhairya angrily says "No, I am not jealous." "Why should I be jealous?" "They are just friends." He storms upstairs and Madhu smiles and a flashback is shown of her emptying both water jugs.
Note: I thought I mentioned it at some point but I guess not, but Dhairya has made amends with Madhu for what happened. Since she has been acting really nice to him and Santoshi he assumes she has accepted them.
