Hi, All... I just read the comments about laxmi sanskari or not. I liked d discussion n i want it to carry on, let us see what is the conventional approch of people on sanskar. When d show started veebha in one of her interview hd said that they will show that sanskar is not just waking up early morning, do pujas, fast,touch-feet etc but it is the refletion of one's behaviour n nature and sanskar also gives a person the potential to distinguish b/w right n wrong.. So if we think that laxmi is not sanskari anymore than what is sanskar n who is sanskari in the world. Do we want laxmi to wait for suraj. Why? Do we beleive in "agar laxmi itni sanskari hoti to uska pati use chodkar hi na jata " type mentality. Just think guys...it not just a question on laxmi's but it belongs to every women in d world why we want every boundation for women n not d men. In d show laxmi did everything for suraj n his family if suraj can began a new life why not laxmi...what's her fault. Sometimes i think that we all r hypocriets ( me too doubt on laxmi's sanskar for a moment:( its a saying-"bura jo dekhan main chala bura na mila koi, jo mann dekha apna mujse bura na koi...)

You are absolutely right. Why can't laxmi start new life? I strongly believe that sanksaar is not just do the puja and all that. If person do not do just puja and touch feet and all that but they are doing everything that they should be doing with the knowledge of what is right/wrong/good bad are not calles sanskaari? Laxmi should not fall in love with Angad because how disgusting the thouht of marring (even if that was due to circumstances though Laxmi also agreed)one son (if you do not consider Parag ) and then fall in love with another son of the same family? I am not saying she should not fall in love with anyone ..it's just in the same family? does not make sense.

If she falls in love with Angad, then that would be good for her. because he also have all qualities she possess. they would make a perfect couple. At least she would get someone who loves her. but i think that the Cv's would show that Angad is the one who falls in love with her and she will be resisting his love.

sanskar are the moral rules for any person. The other meaning of sanskar is ethics...
However, the Indian history & people have observed a difference in how it is applied to the male & female...
like what was mentioned by Kaveri in one of the episodes, if a male walks out, it is always the female's faulty...females, if they walk out, they are immoral, never mind if there was a history of abuse, mental and/or physcial, behind the closed doors.
Laxmi is sanskaari, but marrying your brother in law after divorce, is not really part of Indian culture & hence is not sanskaari..or rather it is not accepted by the moral guardians residing in our society.
Cultures change, people change & the definition of sanskaar/sanskaari should change too...but it doesnt. There are heaps around to point fingers...& even if we dont want to think about them, we are an integral part of the society.Yes, divorces happen more than before, even in India, but ask those who go through it, if they dont have to fight to live a dignified life.
India has miles to go even now to happily accept that you can be sanskaari despite a divorce! & if u want to argue still, remember, the rural population is 3-4 times the urban population in India...& i talk about India as a whole.
I know i should not voice this openly & can be showered with fatti chappals & sade tomatoes...but being someone who has witnessed this in close quarters makes me take this stand...

Im not against Laxmi starting a new life? Everyone has a right to live their life the way they want... But falling for your own brother in law??? Common how is that sanskari? They are millions of other guys out there... Why do u have to choose one within the family and complicate your life and your family's? See its simple, according to me sanskari is someone who would make an effort to be a good human being, respect her elders and try and keep her family happy and together... And by settling with Angad she will definately not fall in the sanskari category.
