Very interestingly written....I agree in some parts but not completely.....no offence but Dutta Bhao's character in LTL is FAR better sketched.....and I've been a HUGE fan of Prem from KZK as well....who again I feel was a far better written character and enacted fabulously by Manoj Bohra.

I agree with you there Dutta and UD are both well sketched characters..but Laagi is not that great a show because it moves at a snails pace and I only watch once a month and get the jist of it 😆 Prem was amazing but he did have his fair share of switiching personalities. (wish manoj wud cum back on screen😭)

Rudra was an interesting character to start with but ultimately the makers of this show have gone off-track I feel with a lot of illogical sudden twists/turns.....character transitions are not done smoothly and that is what starts to seem jarring....I agree completely, transitions are not very smooth
and a person starts to lose connect....atleast that's how it's been for me.....I honestly can't figure out where the makers of this show are going with the storyline anymore....It's not even about the "moving on"....I don't expect him to magically forget Pihu, stop drinking and fall in love with Gauri overnight either.....but the manner in which he randomly becomes sober and randomly picks up daaru for the STUPIDEST of reasons....e.g. the bit when he gets drunk from his dadaji's daaru ki bottle....hello atleast give SOME maturity to your character....it's not about Rudra not having a job etc. etc....the problem is that they hardly show anything to his thought process other than "I love Pihu, I want her" and "Gauri is my bff.....look everyone!"..... yup you made me think again and you're right he does need more elaboration and there has to be more exploration of his character. As for getting drunk for supposedly little things- they seem little to us, but for someone in a depressed state it would be a big thing. If he has become an alcoholic he will turn to the bottle for smallest of reasons. yesterday Pihu was talking to Abhay -the guy she chose over Rudra - watching the convo would kill him with pain and jealousy hence the bottle.
'Pihu I want her' and 'gauri is my bff' - I think comes out more when he is drunk. Rudra isn't thinking straight so these seem to be his only thoughts.
But I completely agree that they REALLY NEED to show his thought process in greater detail.
they need to develop his character more and show his OWN brain working for a change rather than him blindly following the instructions of Gauri/Pihu/whoever.

Cool 😊nice to have different views

The points u have mentioned are traits that Rudra/Devdas are supposed to be... But in sangini.. the characterisation is really poor.. and the scenes are not well executed...
I think the chracterisation was brilliant, but the characters have not been allowed to develop which is leading to problems and viewer disatisfaction.

I just find Rudra's actions immature & nothing more... Rudra' antics are over the top... In attempt to make his character funny, creatives have just ended up making him look lke a immature fool... & his antics only make a mockery out of him & his love....
He has just started getting into the drunken business, so I think they are making full use of possibilites available to produce drunken humour

Plus, anyone knows how old Rudra is supposed to be? MIK makes rudra look like a 30yr... n a 30yr old doing slapstick comedy is highly unappealing..
ya Iqbal's age shows and that is something one has to overlook. :/But i'm sure they are only meant to be 22/23. Pihu/rudra can't be planning to marry at 30 after 20 yrs of friendship. 😕

i Dont expect rudra to put on a coat, suit and become the next millionaire business tycoon, but he can atleast use his brains....
😆 I think the drink and pihu mania has stolen his brains at the mo. That's what I meant by a Byronic hero. They lose sight of reality and sink into their own world, which seems childish and annoying to everyone else. As Rudra is shown living with family, it makes him seem spoilt brattish whereas if he was shown on his own, it might have given him a more mature appearance. AND like the other post said...his thoughts are not given space on screen. After comedy scenes we should get moments on his own where he mourns the situation in a serious, thoughtful way...he did at the start before he bumped into gauri 😛

p.s. the creatives really need to get their characters right...
Pihu is supposed to be egoistic.. but now she just appears plain confused & fickle-minded... ppl with ego r very determined, they dont change decisions easily n dont get confused often either....
She can be confused, she tries to APPEAR like a strong decision maker, but is finding it hard to justify her choice to herself. Though, again they need to show a better flow of thought so that the viewer isn't left constantly trying to catch up with the character

G is supposed to be independent and strong.. but now she's letting everyone including RR take her on a joy ride...
Totally agree with the point about Gauri and I too am very annoyed that her problems have been given second place to Rudra's when Gauri has some very realistic issues to deal with. I don't like the idea of her working for Rudra at all especially since she has not asked him to fix her shop mess, a really wierd and unexplained plot hole, but I read in the drama description that Raga relationship goes from friends to master/servant to husband/wife, so I guess they have been planning it all along.😕

R is supposed to be a passionate depressed lover, now he's just a immature fool in love, who always needs someone
Sangini isn't perfect and there are lots of missing pieces as I wrote in a different thread but I just wanted to show appreciation for a unique character such as Rudra because there hasn't been one like him on screen even if he isn't fully developed right now
