It is apparent that the production team clearly never thought ahead with this storyline. Initially the plan was to have two parrallel storylines with Rudra and Gauri to be one of the couples. However, reading the comments on this forum and elsewhere, the writers are now in a quandry as people are more interested in the Rudra-Pihu jodi and do not appear to have taken on the jodi of Rudra-Gauri as was originally anticipated. Along with declining ratings each week, the writers are getting worried.
Desperate, they have decided to embark on the weakest idea of introducing another guy and this too for Gauri. What is interesting is they have not clearly decided if this is what they want to do which makes it clear, the writers are flying by the seat of their pants. As always someone came up with the concept of this drama, a handful of scripts were written to see if the show would take off. The first few weeks went well and the writers are now scrambling as to how to take this show further.
As viewers, before blindly embarassing this concept of ANOTHER male as yourself, what is the
PURPOSE of this other character? I read through a number of posts on this topic and no-one has given a relatively decent reason for adding this character. If the writers make this guy a good catch and have Gauri in a quandry, then this show is going to look like a ghastly mess similar to a bad soup where all the vegetables are now mushed together and no-one can figure out what ones were added when...
If the writers want to do anything, the story line and character involving Pihu needs to be strengthened and improved upon. In addition the writers need to spend more time giving the viewers a good reason as to why she will end up rejecting Rudra for Abhay and then later realizing the foolishness behind this decision. This "slap on the face" was not well thought out at all. Plus the chemistry between these two characters is weak and the chemistry between Rudra and Gauri is going to fizzle out very soon if the writers continue to make Rudra look like a completely pathetic male. I like seeing Gauri as strong, but does it have to be at the expense of making the hero look like a weakling?
Going back to the original idea of introducing a new guy? NOPE, I think it is the worst move immaginable as it serves us with NOTHING original nor does it move this story forward or in the right direction. I would rather see a better storyline and more information about these characters. For example, what does Rudra do? Where did he study? Where are his friends? How did his relationship with his father deteriorate? How and when did this temper develop? How old is he? And please don't tell us 22, he looks 30.
Also, let us here more about Gauri. Who was her father? How far is she educated...
I think the writers and their plan to introduce a new guy is a shoddy idea but unfortunately one of the tragic ideas that production teams think of whenever they can't figure out what else to do...
