Reason I think Shashank is not Sid's father :

I feel they are making it obvious. Shashank saying he wished he had a son like Sid, Sid's mother hiding. Sometimes I feel when they make it so obvious they are trying to trick you.

Reason I feel Shashank is Sid's father:

I feel that the way they showed Ishaani developing a good bond with Sid's mother, like she gets that motherly feeling from Sid's mom. I feel that fatherly feeling comes from Shashank

First of all there is no connection between this present Sanjeevani and Dil Mil Gaye. No padma scene or Ridhima story is coming here, it’s a sequel of the very first Sanjeevani. May be Shashank is the father of Dr. Sid but am sure it related to the previous Sanjeevani before his marriage and daughter Anjali. May be it’s another twist . Let’s wait and watch. Anjali can turn out to be Sid’s elder sister ( not biological tho). Or May be it’s his (Shashank)friend’s child .

There is definitely some history between Dr Sid's mom and Dr Shashank, but I agree we'll have to wait for it to unfold.

Also, I don't think DMG is connected to this show. If I'm not wrong, in one of the episodes, they mentioned that 15 years pehle Dr Juhi was told to leave Sanjivani.

Just to clear the confusion, Shashank & Smriti had a son, Karan. Who died in childhood while playing on the railing of the balcony & fell down. Shashank couldn’t be there during the surgery as he was treating other patient in OT. Thus, Smriti leaves Shashank while being pregnant with her second child, Anjali. 6 years later, Shashank’s college friend Neha, is admitted in Sanjivani as she was a cancer patient but dies soon after revealing about her & Shashank’s son, also named Karan, who was born out of a one night stand. This makes Anjali & Karan half siblings. Don’t know how Smriti & Shashank reunited but they did, no idea what happened to Karan. (Sanjivani 1 ends here)

In DMG, it is revealed that Dr. Riddhima (played by Shilpa Anand, Sukirti Kandpal, Jennifer Winget) was the daughter of nurse Padma who got pregnant out of wedlock by Shashank’s friend, Kartik Malhotra. Smriti & Shashank adopted Riddhima to save Padma from humiliation & thus Anjali & Riddhima are step sisters. Later on, Shashank & Padma get married, Aarti Behl plays as the 2nd nurse Padma. In season 2 of DMG, Dr. Shilpa Malhotra (played by Shilpa Anand) makes an entry, she’s the daughter of Kartik Malhotra & she’s aware of Riddhima being her half sister. (DMG ends here)

In Sanjivani 2, Dr Anjali is shown to be more mature, she might in her mid 30s now. And Dr Sid is shown to be the son of Roshni (played by Aarti Behl, firstly). We can consider Sid to be in his mid 20s. So how can he be Anjali’s half brother, as Karan was of the same age as her? And not possible that he’ll be Shashank & Parma’s son as Anjali should be in her mid 40s by now.

Don’t know what the hell is going on with the makers?!
