Hi everyone
I just watched the video of today's episode of Sangam and thought I'd write up a brief (hopefully!) summary of the main parts of the episode.
Shanta is in Shekhar's room trying to persuade him to get married to Jhanvi. He tells her that he doesn't feel comfortable with Sunny's condition like it is. And anyway even if he did agree Jhanvi wouldn't agree. Jhanvi is just about to go in the room when she overhears them talking. She stops before she goes in and listens to what they are saying. She gets tears in her eyes and walks away when the conversation reverts to a discussion on her husband Shubot.
Shubot is on the phone and sounding very shocked when Shanta walks in. Shubot tells her that a person who he put in jail has escaped... but then quickly says that he is out on bail and started a strike at the factory. She tells him that his mother phoned yesterday regarding this too.
Jhanvi in her roon very agitated. She wants to tell Shekhar everything regarding her past but she doesn't know how to. She is repeating who to tell when Shubot comes in. She wants to tell him but his phone rings. He tells the caller that he is on his way. He apologises to her and says that they will talk when he gets back. He goes. Jhanvi's eyes fall on the writing desk and decides to write Shekhar a letter. She rips several papers out of the notebook when she wasn't happy with the content.
Shubot is leaving and telling Shanta that he will be back soon. He goes toward the door and then comes back to her and tells her to look after Jhanvi. She asks him why? He says that all he will say is that Shekhar will never get a bride like Jhanvi ever. She looks concerned and confused.
Jhanvi has finished writing the letter with all her past in it. She folds it and puts it in a orange envelope and writes Shekhar name on the front of it. Shanta comes to the door and sees Jhanvi with a letter and looks disturbed. She suddenly hears Gudiya shouting for her mummy as if she is hurt. Jhanvi quickly puts the envelope inside some pages in one of the books on the desk with a lil bit of the envelope sticking out of the book.
Gudiya has fallen and hurt herseelf. Shanta is trying to console her. Jhanvi comes with Ibrahim (servant) and sees Gudiya condition and comforts her.
Someone (male) goes into Jhanvi room adn takes the letter out of the envelope and holds it in front of his face. He skims it with Jhanvi face in it. (the face of the person is not shown) He then folds the letter and puts it in his jacket. He hears footsteps and goes and hides behind the curtain. Shanta comes in. She sees the envelope and sees whose it adressed to and is shocked to see Shekhar name. The person is trying to hide himself behind the curtain and tries not to be seen by Shanta who is walking towards the curtain and talking to herself. She decides to ask Jhanvi itself. She walks out.
She sees Jhanvi with Gudiya and gets flashbacks of Shubot saying that Shekhar won't get a better bride than her. She smiles seeing how Jhanvi is with Gudiya and hides the envelope in her paloo. She goes towards Jhanvi and asks her how Gudiya is now. She says fine but Gudiya says it still hurts. Shanta says that Jhanvi should made haldi and milk and give it to her. She does so.
After getting Gudiya to drink it she gets concerned with the wherabouts of Shanta and goes in search of her. They bump each other at the doorway to her bedroom. Shanta tells her that she heard a strange noise coming from her room and came to check. She leaves.
Jhanvi gets the envelope and tells herself that she needs to give the letter to Shekharji today. She goes to his room and gives the envelope to him. The episode ends there.
The other happenings that happened in the serial was that Kaveri and Sunny were at the doctor's and the doctor had said that Sunny is doing well and that they will ne able to do the operation in a few days. She helps him to put his black glasses back on. Kaveri tells him how happy she is. And also tells him that Jhanvi and her have shared dreams with each other and have decided that they'll go to honeymoon together and have lots of fun. He tells her that to tell this news of his to the person shes shares all these dreams with.
Madan reaches mumbai and is in a get-up of a sardarji with the turban and the waistcoat and pajama. They look for Ganga but are unable to find her. His servant stops and says that he can't go any further when he suddenly spots Kaveri in her car. He watches the car. Madan asks him what's wrong and he tells him that's the car and the woman is the same one who was with Ganga that day he saw her. He says that he has took note of the license number of the car too. Madan smiles.
Comments: OK episode. Who do you all think was that person in the black suit who read the letter of Janvi's and took it with him? I think it is Saagar. I don't have an explanation why I feel this but I have a gut feeling that it will turn out to be Saagar and that he can see. Who agrees with me? The story needs to be picked up a little and move at a more faster pace. It seems to be the same thing with Jhanvi dithering over her dilemma over Sunny being Saagar and that she needs to tell Shekhar her past. Will the serial ever move forward and will we ever see Saagar/Ganga reunion remains to be seen.

I'm sorry that this update is very long when I distinctly said at the beginning of this update that it was going to be a brief summary.
I can't help myself. I try for a brief but it always becomes a long update no matter how hard I try to stop myself from doing so.
Question of the day - Is Shubot involved in the Madan saga (when he mentioned about an escaped convict etc) or is this something new altogether?
PS sorry about the comma in the update as my comma button on my laptop isn't working. My 7 year old cousin has somehow managed to break and unable to get it fixed.
