Hi everyone,
Another day another episode.
Today's episode consisted of
Detailed Update
Shubot and Shanta walk into their room when Shanta asks Shubot about his knowledge of S/G.
Shubot: Begum.. this party was completed in a beautiful way.
Shanta is standing behind Shubot when she asks him.
Shanta: Forget about the party.Now tell me how and since when have you had the knowledge about the matter of Kundanpur?
Shubot laughs nervously. He turns around and walks toward Shanta.
Shubot: You are worrying needlessly. The matter is that when Sagar returned from KundanPur I noticed that he was different and when I asked him he told me that fate/destiny had made him meet Ganga and how they were separated.
Shanta: All this happened in S life and you knew about this for a long while. I as his sister was up to now was blind to his pain.
Shubot: Begum, what has occurred was past. Its better to forget a past and we should take note that what mistakes happened in the past should not be repeated in the future. A good thing happened today though when all this was happening it was good that Kanchanji and her son were not there or else god knows what sort of a scene they would have created and only God would have saved this house.
Shanta and Shubot both laugh at this.
The next morning:
G comes down the stairs with a file in her hand. The family are gathered in the living room.
Kaveri: Jhanvi, where are you off to? You have to come shopping with me.
G: Shopping? But...No didi Today there is a really important presentation I need to give at the office. I also need to see to Shakuntalaji.
Buaji gets a thoughtful look on her face.
Kaveri: Shakuntala aunty? Isn't she RM mother? The one who you work with?
G: Yes didi. For past few days she hasn't been feeling well. Although she is well now but Mr Mehra isn't here. He has gone out of India for work-related purposes. That's why I go to look after her.
Shubot is looking very pleased at this.
Shubot(in his mind): And looks after her very well. Just like her own family.
S is walking across the hallway in a dejected state. Kaveri notices him and goes to him. S looks at G.
Kaveri: S, you....no way! Now don't you say that you also need to go to the office today.
S: But Kaveri I have to go to the office.
Kaveri: No. today you won't go to the office. Today you will take me shopping just like a good husband-to-be.
Shubot: Kaveri is right. Your responsibilities have increased. To be a good husband a good many chappatis have to be made (refers to all the hoops men have to jump through in order to be a good husband)
Kaveri is smiling at this but S is looking solemn. (why can't anyone see that S isn't happy?)
G: S I will handle the work at the office. You take Kaveri didi shopping.
S: (To Kaveri) Come on!
Both leave. G smiles at them. G takes her leave from the rest of the family.
At the Breakfast Table:
Shubot, Puttan and Buaji are having breakfast. Puttan is holding the knife and fork awkwardly and having difficultties in eating with them. Shubot is staring at him. Buaji is staring too.
Buaji: Puttan, what are you doing with the fork and knife? Eat properly.
Puttan: Mother, you know that I always eat everything like this....with a knife and fork. These gobi ki paratha I have never eaten with a knife and fork.
Shubot: Saleh saab....Leave those knives and forks and eat with your hands like a true indian.
Shubot is eating the parathas and praises Alka for making such delicious paratha. Puttan is left wondering as he thought that Shubot was a understanding man but he was praising Alka's food which he didn't understand. Puttan tells Shubot that serving food is the reason why they bought her or else wouldn't have bought her. He asks Alka to bring more parathas.
Shubot phone rings. it is RM. He smiles after seeing the caller ID.
Shubot: Where are you, my friend? The arrangements have all been done here will you come and help out or not?
RM: I will be reaching Mumbai very soon.
Shubot: You say this every time. You say you are coming but you never come. If not for me then please remember that at your return a palanquin (doli) has to go from this house to yours.
Puttan stops eating and is shocked by this. Buaji is left staring at Shubot. RM on the other line of the phone smiles. Shubot notices Puttan staring and excuses himself from the table. He goes further into the room (some distance away from them). Buaji signals Puttan to follow him. SHubot continues his conversation with RM with Puttan listening behind a boulder.
Shubot: The good news is that J is undertaking her duties beautifully. SHe looks after your mother very well. That is why I am saying that you should come and take J doli from our house. When the bride is ready then why the wait?
Puttan chokes on his paratha and coughs. Shubot looks behind him at confused.

Shubot turns back to his phone conversation and tells RM that he will ring him later. Shubot wonders slowly towards where the noise came from. Puttan disappears from there and hides behind a flower arrangement on the floor placed on a big white ornament. Shubot walks behind the boulder but noone is there. Puttan is relieved that he has escaped and stands up. Shubot is standing right behind him. Puttan turns around and sees him. Shubot asks him what he is doing there. Puttan stammers and makes an excuse that he was bringing some parathas for him. Shubot looks at the plate but it is empty with crumbs. Puttan thinks of an excuse and says that it was so tasty he ate it while bringing it. Puttan laughs nervously.
Puttan: Jeejaji (brother-in-law) your style of teasing is very funny. I will bring another paratha for you.
Shubot looks at Puttan very shrewdly. Puttan turns to walk away. Shubot stops him.
Shubot: Saale........Saab....I will tell you something. Its better to keep to your business and not on anyone else's. For understanding people, a signal is enough. You look very understanding.
Puttan laughs nervously. Shubot nods his head slowly.
Puttan; You have said a very enlightening thing while teasing. Its very good.
Puttan takes his leave. Shubot shakes his head after him.
Puttan room:
After telling his mother what was said in the conversation between Shubot and RM. Buaji comments on it. Alka is busy putting clothes away in the wardrobe.
Buaji: That means that Shubot has fixed J marriage to RM. But it is unknown to all. I can understand not telling us but even Shanta and Sagar don't know this. What is the matter? I can't understand anything.
Puttan: I don't know anything either but I know one thing and that is J has agreed to the marriage.
Buaji is left speechless at this. (Can she not stay speechless for longer - like through the rest of the serial)
Buaji: What are you saying, son? J is.....
She stops talking.
Buaji: That means....that means that J is smarter than we thought. On one hand she's loving S and taking him away but on the other hand she agrees to marry RM.
Alka is listening to all the talks between Buaji and Puttan. She refuses to believe what is being said about J. Buaji notices Alka listening and reprimands her. She sends ALka out on the pretext of getting some water. Puttan calms his mother down.
Puttan: Mother it is best to stay calm as it gives you more fun to watch the game when calm. Now this game is going to be very exciting. One field and 2 protectors (refering to G and her suitors S and RM) What will happen to the first protector when the 2nd comes to ask for his right? Whose heart will be destroyed? Who will get the harvest from the field? That will be exciting to watch. What is that saying in English? Wait and watch!

Buaji Room
Buaji lying on her bed while Alka is massaging her legs. Puttan is sitting cross-legged on a chair preparing some paan.
Puttan: Now there is nothing to worry about as everything is happening without us doing anything. S engaged to Kaveri and J will wed RM and go to his house. We won't have to do any work to get rid of that pain Jhanvi.
Buaji: Puttan when the pain is like J (smart and sly) then nothing happens by sitting on your arms and legs. I know that she agreed to marry RM at the mo but nothing can be relied on with her. No matter where or when she played her next move. (Is she talking about herself here?) And S. you can't trust him. You have seen him haven't you? He is so often thinking about G. Son, S and Kaveri have only got engaged they aren't yet married. Time is not needed to break an engagement. That's why I say that we need to keep our eyes on both S and J.
Puttan: You are right mother. Its a love quandrangle. There are 4 people involved in this, Jhanvi. Sagar, Kaveri and RM. When the fourth member of this quandrangle comes here then the real fun will start.
Alka was listening to their talks with concern throughout.
RM house - Shakuntala's bedroom
Servant brings soup for Shakuntalaji and gives it to G who feed her the soup.
Shakuntala; J how much will you do for me? I feel as if I have gained a daughter.
G: I'm not an outsider, am I? I'm your own.
Shakuntala (in her mind): Yes child you are my own. You are the living proof of my Rahul's happiness.
She refuses to have any more soup and reminds G that it is getting late and she should return home. G tells her that she will go when she has completed her jobs which is to feed her dinner. Shakuntala objects but G pacifies her. She gives her the soup to finish while she goes to bring her dinner. G walks out of the room into the corridor where she notices the time. It is just gone 9pm.
G (in her mind): I know S you are waiting for me. But you will have to live without me. Even though we are together we have to learn to live apart. This pain is not only yours but its mine as well. I cannot repeatedly face you.
S room
At the same time S is pacing the floor in his room. He keeps checking the time - 10.05pm. Sits on his bed looking at his phone. Standing at the balcony with the wind blowing. He checks the time yet again. He is upset and goes inside.
The doors open and its G. She walks into the house and notices that noone is there and everyone must be asleep. She gets some water out of the fridge and notices Puttan standing there.
Puttan~: What is the matter, Jhanvi......Bhabhi. Looks like you were scared. What is there to be scared about? The thing is that I am very thirsty.
He leers at her. I detest/hate/dislike the way he looked at her. I can't think of a stronger word that would depict the feeling inside me.
She gives the bottle of water she got to him. As G turns to leave he stops her.
Puttan: Bhabhi....You are late in coming back from RM's house!! What am I saying? That house is your house too, isn't it? That's why you are caring for his mother so much lately.
G: What do you want to say?
Puttan: Just that. You must feel so lonely sometimes.
G is completly shocked at his words as he continues his speech.
Puttan: It is very sad for you to become a widow at such a young age. I understand that after Shekhar bhaiyya's passing you must have needed someone companionship. I forgot yet again. You have many...what do you call them....chasers. To whomever your heart feels, call them.
G: What rubbish are you speaking? Maybe you are forgetting that I am your Bhabhi (sister-in-law)?
Puttan: No I haven't forgotten anything. I know that I am your lovable devar (younger brother-in-law). After the passing of the brother the most right a person has on a bhabhi is their devar.
G; You are forgetting that a bhabhi has some rights on a devar too. Shall I show you some of them?
Puttan: Tell me.
G slaps Puttan real hard on the cheek. Puttan holds his cheek and looks at her angrily. The camera spans from G to Puttan repeatedly.

Comments: Wow what a slap. I think that tomorrow Puttan will raise his hand to hit G but S will come and grab his hand. (we all know that S is still awake and not asleep like everyone else) While watching this last scene it would have been great if G woke Shubot up and in front of him demanded to know whether he or anyone else in the house object to her going to RM house. She would then go on to reveal all his ugly thoughts to everyone. Maybe Shubot would have thrown him out of the house and that would be the last we see of Puttan at least. maybe she will tell S or he may have heard everything. But I'm glad that G handled this situation so beautifully. Girls/Women can handle situations like these with aplomb. I was thinking yesterday through the engagement that when RM returns and the marriage is given the nod by G then S will be in G's shoes (yesterday episode) I wonder how he will cope with it and handle the situation in the great way as G did. Anyway eager to watch tomorrow episode. Wonder what will happen and if she'll mention any of this to anyone.

Another day another episode.
Today's episode consisted of
- Shanta asks Shubot about him knowing about S/G.
- G gets ready for office. S also going to office but gets railroaded into taking Kaveri shopping with persuasion from G.
- Puttan having difficulty eating with knife and fork.
- A phone conversation is overheard by Buaji and Puttan between Shubot and RM where the idea of taking J away as his bride is being discussed.
- Puttan and Buaji discussing the knowledge learnt from the conversation of J leaving the house in the guise of RM bride.
- G spends as much time as possible at RM house looking after Shakuntalaji. She is unable to spend time with S.
- S waiting for her.
- Puttan misbehaves with G when she returns.
- G slaps Puttan for his impertinence.
Detailed Update
