Written Update August 17, 09.

Here's the update for today:-

The epi starts with sudha and kamli's mom reaching Amber's house. Just then they see Amber's older brother [Sumer] comes who scolds the servant really badly and Sudha thinks that's the guy and gets scared but then the guy's daughters come calling him and he plays with them so sudha then knows it is not the guy for dhani as this one already has daughters. Just then a whole bunch of people come to the haveli and tell the guard that they need to see Badrinarayn but the guard tells them he is not home but Sumer is so he let's them come inside. The village mukhiya tells Sumer about a guy Birju who's wife was taken by bandits as he did not pay their debt. He asks Sumer to throw out Birju's wife out of the village as she has brought shame upon all of them. Birju begs Sumer not do such act as he cannot live without his wife and they also have two kids. Sumer makes the decision that she must be thrown out of the village and tells Birju not to be blinded in the love of a woman, she has brought shame upon all of us as she spent a night with the bandits. Birju says but she is not at fault as she was helpless as he is the one who is indebted to the bandits not his wife. Just then a few of the villagers also agree with Sumer's decision and tell him to throw her out but just then Amber comes and announces you will all get justice. Everyone turns around to look at him. He again tells all the villagers to get quiet and they will get justice but he first has a question to all of the village people. He asks them if the bandits took their belongings from them then who is to be blamed for it? The bandits or their belongings?

He then tells the village women that if they cannot respect a woman then how can he expect the village men to do the same? He again questions the men that they want to snatch away someone's mother? He then asks the women what if the same thing has happened to you and someone snatched you away in front of your crying children? He says you're scared just looking at the possibility but then must you not think about the one who has suffered through it? He then tells some guy that you yourself have lived with the bandits then how come you're not unpure? Sumer answers this question and says men and women are not equal. Again amber says yes you're right brother because women are way ahead of men in all ways. And he tells them that no one has the right to snatch away someone's wife and someone's mother from them. He tells birju that no one can take awat your wife or your children's mother. Meanwhile sudha and her friend were watching all this within the crowd and ask a lady who this [Amber] person is? And she tells that he is Badrinarayan's elder son Amber and just then sudha realises that he is the very person badrinarayan has brought the alliance for. Sudha is very excited knowing what an awesome her future son-in-law is. She cannot contain her excitement and they leave for their village.

Sudha comes home and has an emotional moment with Dhani. Sudha takes dhani inside and prays to god while dhani asks her what happened but sudha leaves saying just sit here and I will be back. Sudha brings the shagun waali chunri and puts it on Dhani's head and she also puts a tikka on Dhani's forehead. After this rasam she tells Dhani that her alliance has been fixed. Just then the scene shifts to amber's house where he is getting scolded by badrinarayan for taking an unpure women's side in front of the whole village. Amber says but she was not at fault. Badrinarayan says it does not matter as there are social values they all have to follow and according to them the women is at fault. He further tells him if you break the social traditions then the society itself will start breaking. Amber replies sayings its people who make up the society and its customs. If these customs break the lives of these people then what is need to have them in place and it is better to change these customs. Badrinarayan says it doesn't matter who is the culprit as it is the women who will always get balmed for it. Taayi also agree with badrinarayan and tells Amber that it does not matter whether the mud is thrown at the woman or she falls in it. Badrinarayan says the village people's trust must not be broken in him due to such absurd descisions. Taayi also comments it is only amber who thinks completely different from the rest of the family. The scene is again shifted to Dhani's house and sudha is still very emotional and talks a bit more about dhani's upcoming marriage. The mother and daughter hug and dhani tells she was really worried about sudha as she saw her so worried. Just then Sudha explains dhani the whole scenario regarding badrinarayan and the alliance. Dhani then tells sudha that she had already seen the shagun and that is why she was even more scared. Just then sudha tells her how amber is really sanskaari and his family must be the same too since it is the parents who teach their children all the values. Amber is in his room and thinking about the earlier conversation with his dad when his bhabi comes. He asks her why his dad is still stuck in the old fashioned values? Must he not change with the time? Bhabi tells him to forget those things that upset him but he says if they are really that old fashioned then how come they don't remember what our Vedas have taught us. How can they forget the equality the Vedas have provided women with? He further says that when these men go to the mandir they respect the devi but when they come home, they don't even give the women the respect they deserve as human beings. He says he will not get married if he cannot get his wife the respect she rightfully deserves. Bhabi tells him not to worry and be the example he wants others to be. Just then they show Sudha going around the village distributing sweets for fixing Dhani's alliance and the gang teasing dhani about her soon-to-be-husband.

Precap:- The gang asking sudha how amber looks because dhani wants to know meanwhile amber is asked to choose a sari for his soon-to-be-wife.
