Get ready August mein Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai

Star Plus with Shashi and Sumit Mittal is all set to telecast their new venture Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai from 5 August at 8:30 pm. With this, there will be a change in timings for Balaji's show Kis Desh Main Hai Mera Dil.

Talking about the show, the producer, Shashi Mittal says, "This is the concept which can be identified with each and every one of us."

But the trailer shows that the first wife is attending her duty of dotted wife, though she is staying like a servant. How can this be identified with the audience? "Well for this, one need to watch the show and know, how and in which circumstances her hubby has to get married for the second time," she adds.

What according to you is the USP of the show? "I feel the title itself is the biggest USP, as it's the dream of every young girl to go to her sajan ghar jana hai. Secondly, another strong point will be that we should be able to narrate this story in a proper way," she converse.

When asked to comment of the change in time slot of Kis Desh… Shashi refused by saying, "I really can't say anything about it."

Let junta decide the fate of the show. For now we can just wish them luck.

Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai to launch on 27th July..

Shashi and Sumit Mittal's new show on Star Plus, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai will be launching mostly at a prime time slot on 27th July 2009... This leaves a question mark over the future of few shows..

The teasers of Shashi and Sumit Mittal's new show on Star Plus, Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai are on air, and the latest development is that the show will be launching on 27th July, 2009. The show will be a fresh love story; the leads being fresh faces, Neha Saxena and Kunal Bhatia. The show will also see the comeback of Vidya Sinha to television. Others in the cast include, Abigael, Sanyojita Bhave, Tushi Sharma etc.

According to our source, "27th July seems to be finalized for the launch of the show, but not much is clear about the time slot to be provided".

However, future of three shows on the channel seems to be in jeopardy right now!! According to our source, "There is a buzz that the show might take up the time slot of either 8 PM, 8.30 PM or 10 PM. This only means that the future of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil or Sabki Laadli Bebo is at stake".

According to the ongoing story line, all the three above stated shows have a crisp and new track running; so there is a high chance that one of the shows will be shifted to the afternoon band to accommodate Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai.

Says our source, "Since Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai is a high budget show, with a large set erected at Kurukshetra it is very unlikely that the channel will give it an afternoon slot instead of a good prime time slot".

A source from Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat says, "We are working on a new track which has begun just now, and we have a long way to go. I have not heard of the show going off air or getting a change in time slot".

Moving to Bebo, the buzz is strong that the show which opened with a great rating has not lived up to its expectations, and if there is no improvement in the TRPs, the show might be shifted to an afternoon slot.

But our source from Bebo denies the news and says, "No, we have not heard of anything like this".

Lastly, speaking of Kis Desh of Balaji Telefilms which has recently taken a six year leap, the show is now moving towards a fresh new love story of Heer and Prem with the entry of their little daughter, and there is no way in which the show could go off air right now!!

However, if sources are to be believed, there is a high chance of Kis Desh being moved to an afternoon slot.

An actor from Kis Desh on terms of anonymity also hinted to the same, saying "We have been hearing that there is a possibility of Kis Desh moving to an afternoon slot. But nothing is finalized as of now".

If sources are to be believed, Siddhant Cinevision's Shraddha will be the next launch on Star Plus after Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai. But the question mark with the time slot prevails for this show too. Earlier, it was reported that Shraddha will be put in an afternoon band, but there are chances for the show to take up a prime time slot too.

As of now, let's leave it to time and see which existing shows get the axe at the cost of the new shows coming in!!

Sajan Ghar at 8.30 PM; Kis Desh shifted to afternoon band

As we had reported earlier, Kis Desh will now be moved to an afternoon slot while Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai takes the 8.30 PM slot from August 5th..

We had earlier reported that one of the prime time shows on Star Plus will be moved to an afternoon slot to accommodate Shashi and Sumit Mittal's new show Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai.

We had also reported that there was a big chance of Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil getting moved to an afternoon slot. Well, things are bit more clear now, as it is Kis Desh which indeed gets a time change.

According to our source, "Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai will launch on August 5th at the 8.30 PM slot, and this means that Kis Desh will get a new slot".

"It looks as though Kis Desh will most likely get a time slot of 2.30 PM in the afternoon band. This change comes as a shocker as Kis Desh is giving the channel good TRPs, and the recent leap has been well accepted by the audience. However, the channel feels that the slot of 8.30 PM could fetch them more ratings, and hence this change", adds our source.

We could not get a confirmation from the channel on this..

We sent a text message to Ekta, but we got no response..

Vidya Sinha makes a comeback to television..

Talented actress Vidya Sinha will be seen again on television in Star Plus' upcoming show Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai..

We had reported earlier that prominent writers Shashi and Sumit Mittal will be producing a show for Star Plus, tentatively titled Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai.

The buzz is that the very talented veteran actor Vidya Sinha who was seen in Kkavyanjali, Zaara and Bhabhi is back to television with this show.

According to our source, "Vidya Sinha plays the role of Maai who is the servant of the house. She is respected by all family members as she has seen everyone growing in front of her eyes. Being a servant, she has never crossed her limits but all in the family treat her as a family member".

The show will have many new faces, and as reported earlier, the male lead's role will be played by Kunal Bhatia. Abigael of Kya Dill Mein Hai fame will also be part of the show..

We tried calling Vidya Sinha, but could not get a revert.

Abigael's sister to debut on TV

Kimberly is all set for her career in television with Balaji's venture on NDTV Imagine, Bandini...

Abigail has made her mark with Balaji's shows Kya Dil Main Hai and Tuj Sang Preet Lagai Sajna. She was one of the youngest actresses and now her younger sister, Kimberly follows her footsteps as she is all set for her debut on TV with NDTV Imagine's Bandini.

If the sources are to be believed, "She will be entering the show as the fourth daughter of Dharamraj Mahiavanshi, played by Ronit Roy."

Talking about the role she will be essaying, our source further adds, "Kimberly is a very bubbly and chirpy girl, similar to her sis Abigal. In the show she is portraying the same as she is in real lif;, pampered, caring, loved by everyone and is very sweet. There is not much difference when it comes to her real and reel life."

When contacted Abigal she said " I cant comment anything on this".

Bandini has been faring well. Now let's see how much eyeballs it is able to grab after some new faces enters the show.

We welcome the youngest sis and wish her luck.

A new birdie has just showed her jhalak on television in the promos of 'Sajan Ghar Jana Hai' and has charmed everyone with her innocence. In a candid interaction with media, school pass-out Jhalak Desai expressed her determination to complete her graduation along with acting.

Tell us about your character.

My character's name is Sarla Raghuvanshi. She is seventeen-eighteen year old girl who gets married to Amber Raghuvanshi. She is good at heart and expects everyone to be the same. Everyone pampers her in the family. She is very bubbly and likes to dress up. It's a positive character. In the beginning Sarla is not aware of him being married already.

I am not as bubbly as Sarla, but I am talkative like her. Honestly, I don't relate to the character much.

As you are from Gujarat, born and brought up in Mumbai, how much do you relate to the culture of UP?

I like everything about the serial. I didn't know much about the culture of north, so I am gradually learning it while shooting. According to me multiple-marriage is very individualistic. I don't think everyone in UP gets married twice. There is a tinge of Lucknawi accent. I use to wear saree only on Teacher's day. I enjoy wearing sarees though I find difficult to walk in them.

Were you not reluctant to begin with the character of a married woman?

Making my debut as a married woman does not concern me, because I am playing my age. She is also 16-17 year old girl just like me.

From where did you catch the acting bug?

I am daughter of a television actress Falguni Desai, so it has passed in me from her. I use to take part in dramatics in school, but not any formal training as such. Rest I believe it is upon me, and how I carry it off. I haven't done acting before but I got a call from the production house, as I was always interested in acting I had my portfolio done.

What have you been doing before serial happened to you?

I have just passed my tenth. I have applied for online admissions in college. It is good that we don't have to stand in long-long queues. I have scored 90 percent and I am opting for science.

How will you manage both studies and acting?

I am equally committed to both my studies and acting as well. I think I will be able to pull it off, as my team is very supportive. They will be scheduling the shoots according to my college. I intend to become an Engineer, so I have to clear my entrance exams. Once college commences I will plan accordingly.

But Engineering needs rigorous revision.

This is a wonderful offer, so I am doing it. In future unless I get something really exciting I won't do any serial, as I intend to complete my graduation first. I can do my acting at an older age but this is the only age to study.
