A Tale of Endless Love - One-Shot
Loving you was not my choice, for I had fallen victim to destiny. You came into my life and without a thought I had fallen to my knees, involuntarily surrendering to what I knew to be my fate.
From the moment I laid eyes on you, I knew you were the one, because I had been seeing you through another lens altogether - through the lens of this heart. My purpose had been discovered, the biggest reason for my existence had come forth.
We took things one day at a time, falling closer and closer together, more and more in love, until one day, you told me this, "You are the one Randhir. I thought I knew it when I saw you... now I truly feel it."
With tears in my eyes, I took your hand and I professed my love to you.
"The only time this void is filled, is when you are beside me," I confessed, as my whole being shook, deeply moved by your presence. "From the time I met you until today, there was no doubt that we were meant to be... as long as destiny wills, we will be together."
You squeezed my hand and joyfully we continued on.
We spent our whole life together, we enjoyed the complete experience that life offered. Of course, we suffered from heartbreak... at times, also from each other, but that didn't take away from the love that burned inside us. Ultimately, we were pushed back together, because this was all a game of fate. This was destiny's plan, and nobody could fight destiny's will.
"I have only one wish. It is to find you and love you in every lifetime Sanyukta," I told you, my body filled with warmth. "I accept even loving you from afar... but this love that is burning in my heart, it has reached the depths of my soul. There is no way of extinguishing this flame now."
You looked at me and you smiled, because you knew exactly what I was talking about. How could you not? You felt it too. The fire of love has been burning inside us both.
There are many stories where lovers die to be with each other, but you told me a story which was deeper than any love story I have heard.
"A moth loves the flame so much that it sacrifices its existence to get closer to the fire. The flame though, is burning endlessly... sacrificing itself every second to find its love," you narrated to me, your eyes filled with tears. "If love has a destination, then how can it be unconditional and endless? True love has no destination... no beginning, no end. It burns endlessly, just like the flame. It burns in its own love, over and over again. Our love is like that. It has no destination and no end... it is just a never-ending fire that will burn forever. Our destiny is written in the stars. Our story does not end on the day we die. Our love will remain through it all."
It was pure love that powered up the universe, that lit the skies, that created the world. The story of you and I is endless, because destiny made it so. Love was never our creation. It belonged to destiny, as it always had, and we were also just a mere creation of destiny.
Across time and space, across many dimensions, through different realms, only love prevails. Love in a nutshell, was created, preserved, and even destroyed upon the will of destiny... and we, Randhir and Sanyukta, are also a part of that process.
If love exists, then Randhir and Sanyukta do too, but if destiny takes away love, then destiny takes away us.
