Part 2
Wedding... last wish... These were the words that kept ringing in his ears as his mother left the room. How could he get married when he was in love with someone else. What answer would he give Diana when he went back. He thought he misheard his mom and rushed behind her after a few minutes.
After a long search for 15 minutes, he finally found her in the backyard instructing the helpers in doing their work.
"Mom" he called out.
"It was raining heavily that night Randhir. I was totally against him going for a meeting in Delhi. But that stubborn man, didn't listen to me and went on his own driving. Within 2 hours I got a call asking me to come to some hospital. Upon reaching there I was informed that your dad had met with an accident and was in critical stage. He did recover initially. It was at this time when he told me that he wanted to see you settled soon. But even before I could contact you, he slipped into coma. And its been 3 months Randhir. 3 months." She said and fell down crying bitterly.
Randhir immediately rushed to his mom and engulfed her into his arms and tried soothing her. Involuntarily even he was shedding tears - it was not for the man whom he hardly knew but it was for his mom who had suffered so much all alone.
"You will get married to the girl whom your father has chosen right?" she asked as she tried composing herself
"I will. But I would like to talk to her first." He said
"Of course. I will arrange the meeting right away." She replied wiping her tears. She kissed him on his forehead and stood up to go.
"Mom. I promise I will marry her, but I cant promise if I can love her. And this is what I am going to tell her." He said and left from the place.
"Am sure you will make him fall in love with you Sanyukta." His mom whispered to herself.
She immediately sent a text message stating the time and place for the meet and rushed to inform her son.
Randhir on the other hand was totally lost and broken. He loved Diana and he had planned a beautiful future with her. He had decided to propose her the night when they had won the competition, but since he had to come to India, there was nothing he could do but to postpone. He had a light hope that if he spoke to that girl and made his point clear, he could escape this situation.
