I tried my hand on this duo, namely Vidushi and Parth for the first time. More than liking them individually I prefer them together, they are too original and promising. So here I present an One Shot, which is graphical as the lines in between helps to imagine the sequence better, just like Video Mixes do. I just hope I don't let any reader down. Thank you SO much Everyone for your immense support till date.
Do tell me what it lacks. Constructive criticisms are always welcomed as they enhance the potential of every work.

One shot..
||Diamonds In The Coal||
"Tum samajhte kyun nahi ho? Tum aur mai, yaani hum dono ek jaise hai!"
"Oh please Vidushi! Tum mujhe khud ke saath compare na hi karo toh behtar hoga. Maine aaj tak tumhaari tarah kisiko jail nahi bhijwaya."
LIFE, just a four letter word, metaphorical to the word MAZE. If someone would call Vidushi good and sensible sometime back, he would have laughed in denial, not that it was just his opinion or misconception about her, but the bitter truth, though not as bitter as Vidushi herself . They said he was unblemished and white, till his grey side was explored, whose credit lay with two women of his life, yet Vidushi wasn't counted among them. She meant nothing to him, nothing more than the antagonist of every student's LIFE in FITE, the college whose history spoke more of all the conspiracies of Vidushi , rather than its achievement. Not that she was despised merely by him, but each and every person she had come across in her life. Yet today, today she wasn't the same Vidushi, but he had lost her already. He closed his eyes tight, to recall how she had trusted him, most of the time if not always.
Teri baahon mein jo sukoon tha milaa
Maine dhoondha bahut par, phir na mila
Just another day, just another hour, and there she was thinking of ways to manipulate her own team members and outshine herself. Or at least he thought that was what she had been doing since the past three hours till he saw her leave the mechanical laboratory in a haste. He left the laboratory at the usual time, unlike her and cursed her more for the same. It did matter to him if she wasn't around, which was because he feared that her deeds may affect everyone in a negative way, especially the dream team. He kept walking towards the store, where his love lived, the love that had betrayed him years back, by promising to be with him till perpetuity, yet that promise lasted for merely three weeks. As he entered the store, he saw her burn the last memories of his lady love. He snatched them away, letters, photos, cards and immediately he jerked Vidushi as she hit her head on the rod nearby. The whole college had already known about his incomplete story, thanks to the certain someone and now another girl was trying to snatch every reason to live away from him. With much struggle, tears, blood, sweat, unable to keep his gushing emotions to himself, he fell on the floor, as the shattered glass of the frame pierced in his hand. She knew he would break, she did it intentionally so that he would break, let all his pains out, format all his miseries and live a new life, a life in which he wont need Tai Chi Chi to control anger, but a soul to touch, a tear to give his tears company. He sat down, no more numb, no more lifeless as he had been in the past four years. She took his head carefully, without wiping off his tears, without uttering any word of sympathy or empathy, made his head rest on her shoulder. She didn't pat his back, nor did she move. She let her tears fall, as she knew if they were for him, they won't be a waste.
Duniya, choona, chahein mujhko yoon
Jaise unki saari ki saari, main
The bar dancer tug her hands in his shirt, as he sat lifeless. As he came out of his trance, he looked around to realize he was sitting in the same bar where he was arrested nine years back, for something he hadnt committed. He knew how it felt when the faultless is blamed, and today he was helpless as she was going through the same. He wanted to drown himself in her thoughts, as he knew she won't ever accept him, not even as a well wisher.
Duniya dekhe roop mera
koyi na jaane bechari main
He left her alone in the thickets, exasperated by her tantrums. What wrong did she do while she said she would not walk any further? Did she ask him to carry her? No! Did she ask him for any help? No! She was doing something independently, on her own grounds for the first time, and he in spite of knowing himself to be the reason of the change in her personality, left her alone in the dark. When he returned to get her with him, she was nowhere to be found. Finally he spotted a shadow to which he approached to find her sit quivering, leaning her over her knees. That was the first time the vixen shared the reason of bearing an impure heart. She shared how sympathy had been her only weapon since the age of eleven, when she had lost the greatest reason of her to live, her father. She shared how she her fear of darkness, not phobia but fear of losing herself the way she had lost her father. Her eyes lit in the moonlight reflected fear.
"Unable to repay debts my father had committed suicide in a forest,as dark as this one" she mumbled as tears rolled down her cheeks.
Haaye tooti saari ki saari main
Tere ishq mein huyi awari main
Sitting behind the bars, she took out the letter whose ink was smudged already by his tears and now hers. Crumpling it, she threw it away. The radio was playing the torturous song again, enough to break her already shattered pieces of life. Wiping off her tears for the upteenth time she could no more listen to the song which was killing her from within.
Finally she shriekd, "could you stop playing that song please?"
"Why? Did this song remind you of your Romeo who was too desperate to meet you this evening? He deserves to be here instead of you though, reason being this has always been his second home."
"Say whatever you have to say about me, don't drag him in between. He was nowhere in the scene"
Koyi shaam bulaaye
koyi daam lagaye
He by now had lost his composure, drinking was just not made for him, or maybe it should be put in the other way, namely, he wasn't made for drinking. The escorts, the chaos, the music, the dance, the women and he. But his heart lay within her, which she had rejected already. He knew that he unknowingly had changed her black heart into a golden one. He knew he had taught her how to love genuinely, just the way she had taught him to live life with a new beginning, to cherish the beauty of new dawn.
Main bhi oopar se has-ti
par andar se haaye
"I know, I know that you can never admire someone like me. In fact not just you, nobody can ever like me. I deserved to know this and you don't worry, I wont do what I did last time I told you about my infatuation. You know why? Because firstly, this is love and love can never be selfish and impulsive and secondly, you changed me and my heart."
He looked deep in her eyes, she immediately looked away, tied her long hair which reached till her waist and departed, as he silently watched her retreating figure, not knowing how to react.
Kyun dard chupaaye baithi hai
Kyun tu mujhse kehti hai
Main toh khud hi bikhra huya
Handcuffed, she was pushed inside the van. He tried to tell everyone that she wasn't the culprit and he himself named the offender but they asked him to get enough evidence to prove her innocence. He saw her sit silently, as if she was the wrongdoer. His heart twinged to see her in the current state, yet he was unable to help her as he himself didn't know how to get the wrongs things right.
Haaye andar andar se toota main
Tere ishq mein khud hi se rootha main
As Kaustuki was asked who could be behind the crime, like every other student of FITE, she exclaimed, "VIDUSHI KUMAR"
There he sat, waiting for his turn to confess the truth, but she was called to be heard before he was. As she was asked about the culprit she immediately replied without a second thought,
"No question of doubts arise sir, I am the offender." she exclaimed.
At this he tried to revolt, but she had already surrendered herself, surrendered herself for a crime she did not even know about.
She had always been the 'bad girl', she had always lied which always was hated by him, but this time the lie ripped him apart, broke him, shattered his heart.
He was able to take no more. He broke the glass in his hand by smashing it hard, as the glass pierced his hand, the same way it pierced in the store the other day, marking the saturation point of her pain. He had endured much of it since the past sixteen hours.
He departed for the police station.
Main jee bhar ke rolun, teri baahon mein solun
Aa phir se mujhe mil, main tujh-se yeh bolun
He saw her sit against the bars of the prison, the faint yellow light in the police station lit her face dimly, yet she looked mesmerizing. He could see the mark of dried tears on her cheeks.
"Vidushi"
Hearing her name from the person she always wanted to be with him made him jump in fear, as today she couldn't face him, couldn't look through his eyes. She had broken her promise. The promise that she won't ever lie again. The promise that she would never hide anything from anyone. But today, she had to save the culprit, she had to save him. He didn't do it intentionally and she couldn't see him in the same state as he was two years back, when he was taken to the police station and tortured heartlessly. This was her forfeiture .
Holding her hand,he pulled her towards him. It was 5 in the morning, yet the place was as gloomy as ever. Grabbing her face with both the hands he caressed her cheeks. He touched the dried tears as she closed her eyes and the salty water started to flow down her cheeks again. He made her forehead touch his. He could feel her heat and she could feel his heat. A lone tear escaped his eyes and fell on her palm as she looked up.
Tu anmol thi
pal pal bolti thi
She jerked him away.
"Vidushi...I just"
"Why are you here? Why can you just let me be? Just, just leave me alone" she said, as he grabbed her hand.
"I can't. Nor do I wish to "
"Do you think is the best place to confess? This is sick. Just go away."
"But I just.."
"I don't think you should be here talking to a criminal"
"Criminal? Are trying to say that it was you who...unbelievable. I mean I have never seen anyone lie to this extent. Why on the Earth do you want to save Parth?"
Aisi chup tu laga ke gayi
saari khushiyan khaa ke gayi
She paused for a moment, wiped off her already dried salty tears.
"Why should I tell you?"
"Don't tell me but I know that you are doing this out of guilt, deploring what you did two years back"
"No I am not. Nor is Parth the culprit, it was just an accident"
"Yes it was. Then who asked you to surrender when you aren't at fault? You can share everything with me. I am there for you. I will get you out of this prison"
"I am not the same Vidushi who did antics to gain. I don't need your sympathy."
"How many times do I tell you that what I feel for you is not sympathy? Or are you taking revenge that I rejected you twice?" he laughed as another tear escaped his eyes seeing her lifeless. To see her in such state felt as if someone had sucked blood out of him.
Haye andar andar se toota main
Tere ishq mein khud hi se rootha main
"Parth! Go home. You need rest."
"You know Vidushi, I wish I had given you my heart much before, maybe then it won't have shattered in me today, making it just too difficult for me to breathe with each passing moment.
Saying so Parth left, as Vidushi fell on the floor with a thump, clenching her fists as tight as she could.
Parth leaned over the pillar outside the police station, "I promise you Vidushi, I will get you out of this. I know this was an accident, and you and me are faultless which we will prove it to the world. We will prove that you aren't the same dark villain of every student in FITE. Wiping off his tears, he washed his face and went inside to see Vidushi facing her back towards him, and she went on,
" Vidushi tum aur Parth, I mean tum aur mai, yaani ki hum kitne similar hai na? Ab toh hum ek doosre ke wajah se jail bhi aa chuke hai" saying so he went away while Vidushi picked up the crumpled paper, reading his confession and holding it to her chest with a faint smile playing on her lips, knowing that she and he would win the case soon, as he already had won her heart once again.

I do not trust my writing skills AT ALL. So I would just brief up what the shot was. Vidushi liked Parth, and after his denial she conspired against him and sent him to jail. With time, they fought, he ignored her, making her introspect the evil in her, and in the process changed into a pure soul and fell in love with Parth, who still had not forgotten Arpita. Parth and Arpita's incomplete story was already revealed in front of everyone because of someone, not Vidushi though. She wanted him to come out of his bubble and so she burnt her memories. She shared her miseries with him and finally he did the same. Then she proposed him, yet she rejected. She was now in love, so she accepted it and moved away from him. And then rest is clear I guess? Thank you for your time.
Named this Diamonds in the coal as both are much flawed if not equally, but changed in positive way. :D
