This has always confused me. does anyone know the answer. Surely its not JUST so she can be a jealous and annoying person?

i think there is going to be a catch because no one ever says that she is actually single. i think she was married before and there must have been some sort of problem that will come up.

I remember in the first few epi there was something mentioned about her being married previously but the marriage not working out (something to that sort)
Don't remember the exact dialogue but she was married
