Thanks so much guys!! Hope you all like the next part as well!
Part 4Vinay sat the at coffee table, waiting for his wife to arrive. He had told her he wanted to speak with her, and specifically mentioned somewhere outside of the house. His wife readily agreed and they had set the time for 4:00 PM at the nearby coffee shop. He looked down at his watch for the third time. It was 4:25. Nothing to get worried about. Just twenty-five minutes late. He scowled.
Twenty-five. He hated having to wait for anybody else. He sighed as the waiter arrived by his table again, asking if he'd like to have anything else. He sent him for another coffee and leaned back against the chair.
He didn't know how to take this news she sprung on him. He thought she might be lying for a second, but then she looked at him so earnestly. He shook his head. Nah. His wife was weird, but she wasn't a liar. She probably believed herself to be in love with Bimlesh.
---
Bindiya walked over to the table, grinning at her husband's obvious displeasure at her tardiness. Her face quickly turned contrite as he looked up to see her approaching. She rushed forward and took the seat across from him. "I'm so sorry for being late. It's just...well, I had to walk over, so obviously it would take longer..." she trailed off, pointedly looking at the car keys he was jiggling in his hands. He stilled them, immediately feeling guilty for driving over while she had walked.
He shrugged, "That's okay. I didn't notice."
"Oh."
She watched as he called the waiter and ordered a coffee for her as well. She turned to him with a smile as the waiter retreated. "You wanted to speak about something."
He frowned, "Yes, well, I'm sure you know what it is about."
Her eyes widened innocently, "I'm sure I don't. Please tell me."
His eyes narrowed as he watched her.
Could she be...?
"It's about my brother..."
"Yes, what about him?" she asked, nonchalantly.
He nodded. Right. She
was lying.
"About what you said yesterday, actually."
She smiled and nodded, looking very much composed. "Mm-hm. Yes."
Yep. Lying straight through her teeth. He decided to test her out.
For the first time since their marriage, he grinned. "I have a plan."
She looked taken aback for a second, never having seen him smile. "Err. You do?"
He nodded and sat back lazily in his chair. "I do. The perfect plan."
She cleared her throat. "What for, exactly?"
"You're in love with my brother, aren't you?"
She nodded, hesitant.
He smirked, "Now, I'm assuming you mean Bimlesh. Because I'd hate to have to explain this love triangle to Shobha bhabhi."
She opened her mouth, offended. "Of course it's Bimlesh. How could you think otherwise?"
He smiled at her absurdity, "Well, in case it has missed your notice,
you are married. And so I thought, maybe, you didn't consider the person's marital status to be a major obstacle."
She narrowed her eyes, "Well, I do. I'm strictly against falling in love with married men."
"Even if
you happened to be married."
She scowled, "I don't see how that's important."
He spread his hands, as if giving up, "You're right. It's not important. So that's why I've decided to help you."
Her eyes narrowed suspiciously, "With...your plan?"
He nodded, "Yep."
"Which is?"
"To make my brother fall in love with you, silly."
