Danger ahead!

Unit members of Saathi Re were in for a shock recently when there were a series of accidents on the sets. And it all happened within a span of two hours. It began with a light cutter falling on Saie (Tanishka) and Vandana Pathak's (Damini) heads and injuring them. Thereafter, the lightman on the show fainted and had to be hospitalised.

Says Vandana, "The light cutter fell on Saie suddenly and she ended up with a huge swelling on her head. Since I was standing next to her, I too was hurt in the process. The lightman who tried to save us got an electric shock while doing so. He was yelling with pain as the head lightman rushed to switch off the connection. And this was not the end of it all. After half an hour, another huge bulb burst and there were glass pieces all over my sari. We were really shocked."

For Parakh Madan aka Suman in the show, it was a bad day. She says, "There was something terribly wrong on the sets that day. It began with one of the lightmen fainting on the sets, which followed by the light cutter falling on Saie's head. But I was really scared when I saw another lightman caught in between the light stands and then hit by an electric shock. We could see the sparks flying on the set. The poor man was in a pathetic state, the unit members rushed him to the hospital nearby."
