Tanya Sharma aka Meera from Saath Nibhana Saathiya is currently seen romancing telly actor Amar Upadhyay onscreen. On the show, Tanya is tricked into marrying a man who is as old as her father. Talking about her character in the show, Tanya says, "Meera is stubborn and spoilt. It took me time to get into the skin of the character because I am not like that in real life." She admits that working with Amar, a senior actor in the telly industry today, did make her anxious. She says, "Initially I was scared to perform romantic scenes with Amar since I have been watching him on telly since his Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi days. I have been a huge fan of his so there were times that I would get very conscious while shooting. But Amar has been very supportive."
While Tanya has had her share of tiffs onscreen, recently there was talk about her not getting along with onscreen sister, Sonam Lamba. While the actress doesn't deny that the two had differences, she adds that have patched up. Tanya says, "Our opinions don't match but it's not like we don't talk to each other. At the end of the day, we have to work together on the sets."
