Hello everyone,I used to watch this serial with my mother for first two years and I was happy to see it moving towards growth of gopi as an individual.I have stopped watching this serial since long and only caught up briefly.
Gopi was someone was was uneducated but earnest and hardworking.She made her identity because of her goodness and her dominant mother in law recognised the potential in her.
I enjoyed tracking her education and her standing up for worthwhile things.
The serial then was a message about how education can build a character.
However since the leap and new characters,the plot has only been regressing into medieval times.
Even though gopi's daughters are the next generation, their entire track has been revolving around their marriages.
What happened to their education and why can't any of the modi family women step out of their homes to work.
All the women in the show are so assertive and dominating and fighting against the odds.Shouldn't these qualities be put into doing something constructive instead of getting embroiled in shadyantras.
On the other hand the modi men are like mute characters.So many things happen at their house and they are just helpless spectators.
I am ashamed of a serial which doesn't value the men in our society.men have been cooking,handling kids and giving regard to women.not all of them are monsters or helpless creatures.
Sadly the current storyline shows gopi who has no control over her decisions,family and children.
Why is a early 20 something girl's life damaged if she is unethically married?
These people are so rich and yet can't afford a good lawyer and get rid of this mess.
The same this happened in the Radha track.
Why is it so difficult to get a divorce once you know the wrong done.Why are they so embracing of the torture to follow.
All the females in this show enjoy being treated like slaves and being disrespected
None of them would take charge of their situation and move out.
It is so easy to get married to a much married older man to take revenge.where does that happen really in rich business families?
And why would a young girl do that to herself ? one has to be really stupid to do such a thing.And even after getting to know the truth it takes utmost level of stupidity to accept it and live with such a man.
I hate to see such a plot in a serial which started with a promise of change.All the characters look extremely stupid presently
With all the wealth that they have,one would expect them to atleast hire someone who would think on their behalf
Even after so many years,gopi is the same -- slave to kokila
Kokila is the same dominant,incongruous woman who is too egotistical to value anyone else's opinion
And the next generation has crossed all levels of imbecility too.
I wish the story shows them standing up on their own and becoming independent women
But alas I know,the plot would squeeze in romance and everyone would be happily married eventually.
Wonder when this serial will end ,I know I can stop watching it. If I don't like it and I really don't watch it anymore but even the "breaking news" style promos get to me.That is how much I have started disliking this serial
