Meera was full of prejudice towards her mother and was not even willing to listen to anything about why she left them. When Kokila revealed the truth about the reason for Gopi's absence Vidya who is younger was much more sensible and understood. But Meera just believed the fake letter and was never willing to give her mother a chance. Meera did spend some time with Gopi after her reunion with her family. Yes Kokila was more tough with Meera but Meera's behaviour was also like that.

And when Meera felt that Gaura had some ulterior motive she should have tried to stop Vidya's marriage. Instead she joined hands with Gaura . Meera did not do any thing concrete to find Gaura's intentions or stop the marriage but did silly things like trying to burn the ring or swallow the ring.

Meera is only immature and arrogant.

They were supposed to make her understand with love but by being firm. Slapping, throwing her out of the house or locking her in the room is not the answer.</font>
