Family are gathered in the house temple. Hetal prepares the thali holding the engagement rings. Dharam or whatever his name is puts his phone on the step during the ritual. Once ready Kokila tells Gaura that the family will go to get ready.
With the family gone Meera sees her chance and tries to sabotage the tray by removing the rings but is thwarted by Gaura's son who has come looking for his phone. He sees Meera sitting down and comments on how she is religious. She starts chanting before seeing her opportunity to leave without showing her face.
Kokila sees Gopi and po faced asks her to get the rings. Meera is again trying to get the rings and is thwarted by Gopi. She tries her best to get the rings but is not successful. Gopi takes the thali.
Gopi and Kokila are getting Vidya ready. Mother and daughter have a few emotional moments and hug. Kokila is tearful too.
Meera comes dressed in a killing black and gold lehenga. Gopi sees her and compliments her. Gopi asks Meera to bring Vidya for the ritual.
The sisters have a moment before the head off down stairs. Kokila stops them and says she wants to speak to Meera. Vidya goes to find something in the wardrobe. Kokila speaks to Meera and warns her not to try anything smart. Meera assures her that she won't do anything wrong.
Guests have gathered down stairs. The two father in laws greet the guests. Meera brings Vidya down and everyone compliments Vidya. They go to the temple and upon the priest's instructions make a slight change leading to the two grandmothers feeding each other sweets. Gopi is sent to get the rings. Dharam notices Meera hiding and watches her intently, musing that he has seen her before.
Gopi cannot find the rings. She calls Ahem and Kokila to come to the bedroom and there she informs them that the engagement ring for Vidya is missing. Meera's identity is revealed to Dharam as she turns on the stairs. He tells Gaura that she is the one who broke his leg.
Pre cap. Gaura hands over another ring for Vidya and taunts Meera further. As Shravan places the ring on Vidya's finger, Meera grabs it and puts it in her mouth leaving a shocked family to scold, cajole, taunt her.
