I think it is safe to say the general consensus of the forum is that Gopi should become independent. She should start focusing on herself. She should should leave Ahem to do whatever he wants. She should stop being used and abused by Kokila. She should stop being the Modi family's saviour. She should walk away with her self-respect and dignity intact. She should run her achaar business, go back to teaching, raise Rashi Jr., move on in life with another man etc etc. Some even say Gopi and Jigar should get together.

My conclusion after yesterday's episode: I don't think any of this is gonna happen! 😒

Now, I'm not saying there is no chance of this happening in the future. It solely depends on how the CVs want to write the script. You never know.

I'm basing this on what Gopi said yesterday:

"When a married woman adorns this sindoor on her forehead, then she herself acts as a lakshman rekha between the God of Death and her husband."

"I don't have the courage nor can I make the mistake of crossing this line of sindoor. But Ahemji, on that side of the line there is my Maaji. Every human needs to breathe to survive. Just like that, I cannot live without my Maaji's chatre chaaya. Ahemji, there are many relationships in our lives where we do not gain any profit. But still, those relationships truly make us wealthy. And my and Maaji's relationship is something like that. I can say with a lot of pride that that Maaji is my saas. And having her in the roop of my saas, I consider myself a dhanwaan bahu. Because Maaji at every single turn, as a friend, as a mother, as a margdharshak, has shown me the right path."

"Ahemji, you might say that you have no vaasta with me. But there are two relationships in the world that you cannot play games with. That is with your mother and the other, with your wife. Because the relationship with the mother is connected through the umbilical cord. And with the wife, the relationship is through the tied ghat-bandhan in the front of agni and God. The way the relationship with the umbilical cord cannot be broken with the mother, exactly the same way the ghat-bandhan between a husband and a wife cannot be broken. You may have said you have that you have no lena-dena with me. But for me...my relationship with you is life-long. And this relationship...even if someone wishes, they will not be able to break it Ahemji. The day we got married Ahemji, this sindoor become a part of my life."

This makes it very clear doesn't it? No matter what Ahem and Kokila do, Gopi is never going to leave them.

I repeat, this is solely based on yesterday's episode. I haven't watched today's episode.

Maybe she will change her thoughts? 😕
