Being the leading lady of the serial, she has been the centre of the story but merely being the centre is not enough for a character to grow and excel among others. I personally feel that this charachter has seen less growth and doomed more as an individual, though as a wife, daughter and in other relations she has seen growth but here I am talking about gopi as a woman.
Before getting married she was unable to raise her voice against the conniving and trickery nature of urmila and Rashi as she got no education and just did home chores. later she won love, respect and support of kokila and eventually her hubby dear, ahem and got happiness.
She left home after mira got lost and kokila got super angry on her. But what was the need of leaving home? Did anyone ask her to do so? No. She even hid about her pregnancy to her family. But wasn't she more grieved than kokila and any other member of the modi family. She was a mother after all. Instead of taking stand for herself she chose to leave everything. She looked like a failure here.
Now post leap too her sacrifice of saving rashi baby has proved in vain. She saved rashi and her family from the evil clutches of radha and even went to jail but what did paridhi do? she backed off and denied to accept rashi as her child and even refused to live under the same roof with her. I know it's not gopi's mistake her but she's responsible for bringing this idiotic charachter paridhi and made her jigar's wife.
We, as viewers look up to the leading charachter of the story as inspiration, who after outwitting all the evils and winning all the hearts with love emerge as a winner. But honestly gopi doesn't look winner to me at all. I don't feel any kinda sympathy with her. She may have won hearts with her sacrifices but as an individual and inspiration, she fails.
