Friction?

Did anyone else pick up on the friction between Hetal and Kokila in this twenty year reverse leap or is it just me? I bet there is a story there to tell!

Yep, I'm guessing Hetal gave koki the responsibilities of the house just to keep the peace in the house, she talks about both making a compromise but all I see is Hetal giving her rights to koki just to keep koki happy. I wouldn't be surprised if koki was kalakari queen at the time since she got to run the house without bowing down to Hetal, she just complained a lot and Hetal caved in for peace.

It is probably right at the time when Kokila's jealousy would have been at its pick. She has 2 small kids and Hetal has Jigar. Kids fight and that usually wakes up the underlying emotions of the elders especially in joint families.

I have a feeling the 50% Chirag and 50% Ahem split of the property was made as a compromise to some escalation of this issue. Not sure of the CVs will tell us how and why Koki was given all the authority

Yup i noticed that too,koki is very domenating its her way or highway,hetal has a big heart,its noteasy to do what hetal has done

it looks like it hence hetal backed off and did morn vrat and kokila started a shouting vrat 😆

Yeah...I feel it might be cause of the fact that Chirag controls the business and hence Kokila feels bad as Parag doesnt...

Ofcourse there was friction. If you have watched the episode in the very beginning, they have showed Koki as an arrogant lady who was very jealous of Hetal and the reason why she picked Gopi as her bahu was that she wanted an innocent, gawar ladki who is under her thumb always. They showed Koki as a very selfish one who always used to talk to Hetal very mannerlessly. And this was during Ahem's marriage...so only about 10 years back not even 20 years. After that I think they slowly improvised her character a bit according to the story requirement.

I remember one thing very distinctly. Hetal was very worried when Koki was about to marry off Ahem to an illiterate girl(Gopi) . And when she tried to talk sense to Koji, Koki responds very arrogantly to mind her own business and the wedding was her son's, so Hetal shouldnot interfere. And she also asks Hetal sarcastically if she was jealous that she (koki) was getting a good bahu.

Ya Hetal was always too mature and balanced to get into power struggle against Koki. I always liked and respected her character.
