The tradition is being carried on from generations to generations.

So is ahem and Jigar though ahem can shout at people.

Ahem is the only man who can shout at weaker people.

well said i think this track is going to open a few eyes as gopi will not tolerate any nonsense n vidya being her backup will put them in their place i think koika will get a shock when gopi starts to answer back a stronger gopi refusing to bend down backwards for no one

Isn't this the norm in all serials? The DILs are treated as bonded labour while the women of the household, ie MIL, Aunts and SIL sit around doing nothing and demanding complete subservience.

I do not know Xari.. I think these depictions are to fit a certain norm. They are taking 'respect your elders' to a really high level.. To a level where even the elders will be shocked and dismayed.

And like the news channels of today, these serials provide for that Shock element.. Something one does not usually see in everyday life.. It is a pity that they think an ideal DIL is someone who keeps sacrificing and is a doormat.. Compromising is a part of life but taking it to the extreme is what these serials show.. And the compromise comes from the female most times.. If it comes from a male, then 9 out of 10 times, the female involved will be the vamp😆

in modi house rashi and gopi are free servant for kokila...who treats them like she wants to...typical hindi drama 😡
