You have raised a very interesting topic. The concepts of the male heir and the next matriarch. This prevailed in the Kokila and Hetal generation but the Rashi and Gopi generation this can change. As Xarina mentioned that the portrayal of the the social message is what seems to be coming through.
The problem is SNS has also been very focused on the jethani/devrani relationship between the two. They will need to show this issue resolved.
One way would be via the first son in the house.
And as much as SNS is about social issues. I cannot see them utilising a girl as heir. That would not even occur in countries like SA. Let's face it business empires go to boys.
There are exceptions yes. But I don't believe SNS is about to show one.
