Since the first time I watched Saathiya (and watched like a year and a half's episodes in two weeks!!) I have been eagerly anticipating the time when Gopi would sing her aarti and Ahem would be there, right alongside her, united in their love for one and other. I love the aarti song and it epitomizes the whole show!!
And today it happened!!
During the last Janmashtami when Gopi rescued herself and the golden Kanha we saw the steps there. Ahem seemed to be affected by her singing and then they rocked the cradle together so I was expecting it to happen soon after that!!
But it was somehow fitting that it happened a year later on Janmashtami again.
I knew it was going to happen (Thankyou Devoleena for tweeting it!!) and it was so lovely to see!! Ahem was completely into Gopi throughout it, and although Gopi is always sparkling when she sings it, this time there was the added sparkle of the love of her husband and her baby too. She was glowing with happiness and so was Ahem.
Their journey hasn't been easy but their love and togetherness now are just breathtaking!! I hope this Janmashtami brings so much more happiness to our GoHem although by the looks of it these days their cup of happness is overflowing!! (Touch wood nothing bad happens!!)
