She is very different to Gopi in life. She wants to party, dance and have fun (she said that herself) JUST like all of us when we were 18-19. So when Jhalak came and said, "hey, you can have a lot of fun" and SP said "contract says you cant go to colors to do this show" and her friends and everyone said "Oh come on, its dancing, you like it.. go have fun". She thought, well I dont want to be doing Gopi Vau for the next few years, I want to do Jhalak and went ahead and did it.

When she knew the consequence was that she was going to be ousted, and went ahead and did it. Why is she so surprised that she is replaced? Did she think SP wouldnt dare replace her? And that they were empty threats?

This is the age for her to do Jhalak and any other fun shows. Not the time for her to be stuck into some character which hasn't changed AN OUNCE in 2 years. Please let her live her life like she wants to! She's way younger than many of us here. She doens have to spend the next 3-4 years playing the same role.

Don't consider her a victim, a hero or a greedy person. She is another 20 yr old and wants to have fun. How hard is that?

This is an excellent topic. And the last line sums this situation up very well. 👏

I came back to this because it's such a great post and I wish it was on the first page so more people can see it.

Regarding the bold:

Why are people not wondering this? Why are people forgetting that she had a choice? Was it a difficult choice? Yeah maybe, but nonetheless, she was not forced to do anything. She chose JDJ over Saathiya.

So many people are upset with Star Plus but Star Plus has its own rules. This show is called Saathiya (not the Jia show) and has a huge cast. There was no way there were going to cancel it at the expense of the other actors (it's not only Jia who is popular) and its popularity so far.

Plus, at this point, would she really want to come back?

Everybody who is youngish likes to have a party and a good time...shes not 20 anyway...but it doesnt mean that because of that she brought it upon herself...I think that Giaa Manek was a scapegoat...Star Plus just wanted to flex their muscles... only thing is, they made a mistake and it all went t**s up on them!!!
I for one wont be watching SNS again, I watched the first episode and that was bad enough... so until Giaa manek comes back...

Good post thanks for contributing and the link too.

carefree and young, looking for fun is not what happened.
In fact Star will probably send a lot of people, new IF id's, we have never heard of on this forum to sway people away from the cause to get Giaa Maanek reinstated.

The reality of Star Plus not allowing Gia and Hina in JDJ is as below:
How can Gopi (an illeterate house wife) be in a dance show?
Suhana can be... she is spoilt brat... so she can participate in any singing and dance shows
Ragini can (bidaai) ... she is a dancer by profession in the show
Akshara can't... she is also a housewife...
How can an advocate Viren and halwai Suraj be in dance shows????
Kushi could have.. she is outspoken... Star Plus would have allowed Sanaya this year.. if there was no controversies with Gia and Hina... she did not stand up for her rights... may be because her show is already having issues due to Barun's movie
This is pretty crap attitude of Star Plus where actors are supposed to be in their role and will never be allowed to do anything outside their characters.. I also feel that this attitude is mainly for females since they are allowing Barun and Nazim do movies... so this is something to be discussed as a feminist issue also
Gia had the guts to stand up for rights.. there is nothing in the contract or anything.. they cannot make a policy only for one individual.. I work in corporate world... and I know how policies work.. that is what they are saying now as unprofessional attitude .. Gia only broke an unwritten rule of keeping the image.. the issue never came before since no Star Plus Bahu was like Gopi till date I think... no body was an illiterate who never went outside her house alone even for a shopping...
So Star Plus suddenly made up a rule and said she is unprofessional.. this unbroken rule was never even known to her since she was not in house arrest like Jassi , she was allowed to wear western dresses in her personal life, when Star Plus want to conduct award functions they allowed her to dance for "Darling"... so she is not completely at fault... when she was made aware of this as an intelligent person she may have questioned the sanity of star plus and that of audience... that hurt the ego of star plus
We should make this channel understand that we are not brainless people who cant make a difference between a character and an actor.. Also we should stand with Gia since she has given an insight into how terrible the life of actors are.. They are really afraid of big channels and production houses.. they are not even ready to come out in open to support a girl who stood up for her rights fearing their own career.. they may have fame..but no freedom :-(
