I know some people think Giaa is at fault here, but are Star Plus and the PH right in what they did? Let's say Giaa broke the contract and was unprofessional, but did SP and the PH handle things in a correct manner? They replaced the actress overnight assuming that the viewers will just swallow it and move on?
SP and the PH had to have known a few days ago that they were going to let go of Giaa. These decisions can not be made overnight and it would be difficult to find an actress in a day and shoot scenes with her to move the show seamlessly from one day to next. Why didn't SP call a press conference the moment they decided to fire Giaa. When they knew they couldn't work with her, they should have given her a letter of termination right away and called a press conference to explain everything to their loyal viewers. Then they should have changed the track in SNS to either make Gopi go somewhere or have her face burnt during the fire while they auditioned for another actress and the viewers got adjusted to Giaa leaving. The underhanded way they replaced Giaa overnight shows their arrogance and total disregard for the feelings of their viewers.
The viewers are their clients and I can't believe a business can afford to take the risk of annoying its clients. That's where their money comes from. StarPlus and the PH have been around for a long time and should have known how to handle these things. They did not consider the thoughts and emotions of the viewers at all. They treated them like idiots by keeping them in the dark about the main lead of their top show. We still haven't heard a peep from Rashmi Sharma.
Even if Giaa never comes back, I think these channels and production houses should be taught a lesson so they never take the viewers for granted again. This may be a David vs Goliath fight, but Goliath will fall.
