I'm bowing out from the serial :( I'm not even gonna bother reading the written updates. I'm removing the forum from my favourites :( It just doesnt feel like the same show anymore. I actually missed the first 10 minutes and switched on waiting for the first break to finish. Then I saw this girl in yellow... i thought who is this, a new guest? Then realised it's gopi - i thought this was some strange dream sequence and the next scene would show the realy gopi. But then realised she'd been replaced.

I don't have much hope that she is going to come back :( The production team/ big wigs that made the decision must have had a lot of faith and confidene in the show's popularity that to change the lead character was like water off a duck's back and irrelelevant. If they have the power to do that, there's no way gia manek will come back. My mood feels really sore now!! :(

I'm a crazy romantic and I can't sit by and watch gohem scenes with the replacement actress. The scene where ahem says i love you (even in imaginary mode) just lost alll pizaazz and spark for me.

It's been a wonderful journey and I've been addicted to the show and I love sitting with my parents and watching it...and rushing home so we could all watch it together and make chai tea! But now, perhaps its a positive sign to do something else (not sure what)!!! Thank you everyone for entertaining me on the forum!

Lots of love
Julia :-)

And pray that god gives you the wisdom to realise that of all the thousands of things that matter in this world. A tv soap opera is not one of them and it will never be one of them in the next million generations!

Shaun. Thanks for bringing positivity to the forum with comparisons like these.

When you put it like that Shaun, that's hilarious!!! I think I needed a reality check and you provided it...but im still not gonna watch Saathiya - the show has come to it's natural end - Gopi and Ahem finally accepting each other - Rashi and Kokila accepting and working together/ prasing each other etc. I was actually gonna ask this question on the forum the other day - Is the sho coming to an end - everything seemed to be concluding in a positive way.

But you're right in the 7pm slot here in the UK, I will do something else...there is no chocolate in the house...and its raining muddy and grey outside!

Don't take the important things in life for granted, appreciate what you have, I know but I also had Gohem, and now I don't. Sympathise with me Shaun please.

Frankly to say i did't like it at all today's episode.. except Raji scene.. and Koki taunting Saavita.. i don't think i can continue it anymore. i watch it for Gohem, but today iwas like wak!! no reaction when ahem said i love you to unknown girl, because she is not GOpi for me.. so i quit the show.. llet them go to hell, after all it is just a serial, i don't mind if it goes off air too

Naf it was like an out of body experience I was watching the show but the soul had gone.

I have nothing against the new actress but the way today's episode was portrayed was nothing but rubbing salt into the wounds. the bit the gets to me is the koki speech at the start "peoples priority's change" sounds like it came from starplus saying its not our fault but we had to do this. 😔

You right it was horrid, that Koki introduction was an obvious taunt at Gopi for not caring about us, that she chose to leave the show in a lurch and that they the rest of the cast care that's why they still working for the good of the show.

I think as I said in your thread, it was all unbearable, seeing her, her voice, the expressions, lamenting never seeing Giaa as Gopi in any new scene, having to witness Aham with Deb onscreen, the flashbacks to erase Giaa. All of it was hard to watch.

I do sympathise with you nafs! And i know how crap this all feels right now. But always have some perspective on the matter. Instead of worrying about goham who are two fictional characters. Worry about your own life. worry about your studies. Worry about the kid next door who always looks so unhappy. Worry about your work colleague whose husband beats her up every weekend. Worry about the old woman down the road whose kids have abandoned her. But worry about a tv serial? Never!

And then when you have finished worrying about all of those than stop worrying about them. Only stress about What's under your control. If the matter is out of your hands than leave it to the one above you. That is his job. Not yours.

You know what Shaun, prior to today, having an addiction to a TV serial was a safe hobby, and yes we lived in a fantasy on this forum imagining what will come up and relieving moments together, but worrying about real life isn't that enjoyable. In fact it's downright scary.
