A right is a right even if everyone does not agree & a wrong is a wrong even if it is a part of a serial !!!

When we all have seen the Nayi Soch that SNS has bought on from time to time like getting Gopi educated, like not buring crackers during diwali, taking care of birds during sankranti...it was right & even if everyone did not agree it was still a right !!!

Today when a women, a wife who has been with a husband all thru trying to put the life which was torn apart by his past in order, his past comes back & instead of his family who she considered as her own, especially a MIL who she treats her as her own mother, support her & become her strength, the MIL accepts a challenge put up by his sons's past to prove that her decision of getting Gopi married to her son is right !!!

In all this her MIL has forgoten that Gopi is a simple innocent girl & she is already going thru difficult times. Instead of becoming her strength, she has put her up to be part of a contest to prove herself worthy of the family & her husband. What does this say that whatever happens the wife has to keep proving herself again & again that she is worthy of the family, her MIL & finally her husband. Every time someone questions, she will be put as a scapegoat to prove herself !!! And all of this again is not shared with her prior, just before the start of the contest she is asked to be part of it not even bothering about her feelings !!! End of the day Gopi is a human being with all the feelings such as love, jealousy, pain, hurt etc running strong !!! So are we telling her that if you do not win the competition because everyday is not our day & even the best of the best athletes go thru bad days that your husband is not yours !!! And what about her husband's feelings, does he have a say in what he needs & wants or will it be pushed by him this time also !!!

Instead if her MIL had a discussion with her son or called Gopi when Anitha threw a challenge, & held her hand & said I know my DIL is the best & I do not need to prove it to anyone. It would have said so much about their relationship, the confidence which would have built in the DIL heart about her MIL & her love & it would have given her strength to show the outside world that she will not take it easy when it is going to threaten her love, her relationship with her husband & her family because one sms of sorry made her stand up for her rights at the dining table, so it would not have been long before she would have had that deep confidence in everything related to her marriage !!!

Agree this is the story of a young girl, Gopi & her journey in life !!! She will be Gopi as we all know & will win the odds by just being Gopi without devating from what she has learnt in life. But confidence is not something which comes overnight, it comes with patience, with love, with proof seeing that love for you day in & day out & by experience. This is what Kokilla should have realised it long back not when the enemy is inside the house !!! But since this is a serial, they did not do so !!!

Accepting that what they are showing is wrong even if it is a part of a serial which we all love tells us how much we love our serial & how much attached are we to their journey of life & love !!! That shows as we support their Nayi Soch when ever they show as part of our serial, we will also not support them when they deviate from the part, we will stand united to point it to them rather than justify it to ourselves !!!

Nice analysis Navya. You have put across your point very well. I agree that Kokila has let her pride and her authority get in the way for that is what Anita has done, questioned her authority. But sometimes the very confidence she has can be misconstrued as arrogance and by doing so damage the very relationship she has built with her daughter in law. OK so Gopi is not a normal daughter in law. She has put up with so much But is this any difference to the gambler who will put his wife as collateral to win a bet. Sorry for putting it in that way, but the trust issues are the same. Neither the gambler's wife or in this case Gopi will trust the other again.

Ouch, Xarina. Mahabharat's Yudhistir will always be guilty for doing that! 😭

As for Navya, I agree with you. This idea of having to prove yourself goes against the sanctity of marriage. Isn't the sindhoor and mangalstura enough? Also, it's worse because Gopi has to do it. Like you, even I feel like she's given enough tests (right and wrong) to prove her worth. Koki didn't ask her and that is what bugs me the most. She just threw the kitchen sink at Gopi and she wants Gopi to go along with it. I call this a regressive move, not progressive. 🤢
