Is this 'challenge' or whatever we chose to call it wrong?
There have been so many posts since the SBS segment about how demeaning this is to Gopi.. Why should Gopi prove her worth? Is Ahem worth it?
Let me write down my thoughts.. Why I love this track.. because I so really love it...
My belief is that this is not a challenge to Gopi at all and Koki could not have made it clearer..
When Urmila told Anitha that she should just shut up as she was nothing to Ahem, we saw Anitha tell koki and Urmi that they are both wrong. She says she understands Ahem better. That Ahem is just now getting the bravado to tell everyone of his love for Anitha.. Anitha demeaned Gopi. The way she said Gopi's name and stopped showed us that very fact.
Koki the minute Urmi said that Anitha had talked to Ahem after talking to Aravid understood that things were amiss.. There are things that we know have happened. Koki has finally an inkling too..
1. Gopi has not been able to voice her concerns to her husband about Anita. She is still not there.
2. Ahem is feeling guilty for someone who is not even worth it. His refusal to Anitha's marriage, his discomfort at Anitha's presence is not for other's to miss
If Anitha is just sent out, will the above two be solved? No..
Then there are other questions.
Why is Gopi always being pitted to fight against some outsider who comes calling? Well, the truth is, I do not think Gopi is being asked to fight anything.She already has made her way into the hearts of a family who now consider her their own and trust her and love her. This is to show Anitha that she better not demean someone due to their background and educational qualification.
First, it has nothing to do with degrading Gopi's position. Questions like is Ahem worth it? Is he a prize to be won? These do not even come into play because this is not even a competition.
Anitha's disilliustionment led her to show things to Gopi that she has voiced to Rashi. Koki understands Gopi's fears and also her nature to fight that thought using her trust and push the fears down to some oblivion. It is not that Gopi does not trust Ahem, she just does not trust herself. So is this the only way to make her trust herself and Ahem's love for her?
Maybe yes.. why not just ask Ahem? I do see a lot of people asking that.. Well, will Gopi for that matter any one else be completely able to believe? The truth is Ahem did marry Gopi for his mother. He would have married Anita otherwise.. This fact will always weigh against the fact that he has fallen in love with Gopi now. It is always a sore point . At any point of time in the future, it may be used to hurt Gopi again.. By UrShi even. But this track will make all that go away. Gopi will see that she is Ahem's choice.He just did not realize that before when his mother asked him. Living with her, loving her and caring for her, we will see, has made it realize this.
Also by making Anitha see the reality, Koki just made sure that Gopi will also see how far she has made a place in her husband's heart without an iota of doubt. The fact that he married her for his mother will have no meaning after realizing this.. Those words hurt Gopi.. Now that hurt needs to be removed.
At the end of the day, as Shilpa said, Gopi has to be just Gopi in this track. She is loved and cherished as she is. She needs to do nothing. It will be upto Anitha to prove that she is right.
We already know the result anyway. However Anitha tries, whatever tricks she uses.. She will only be able to create an illusion at maximum that Ahem loves her. The reality will be far different and that makes this a foregone conclusion. It i s not a challenge but another illusion to break Anita's existing illusion.
Gopi would finally not just revel in her husband's love but she will also see that she now belongs to a family,a family she dreamed of having, a family who love and cherish her, a family who want her as she is and who consider her their daughter, a mother who considers her her pride and a husband who thinks he is lucky to have married her.
This is Gopi's story and it is a serial, not real life. Things like why and why only Gopi are not even a point here.. It is her story and this is a drama. Drama cannot go on without drama. š
I am just going to sit back and enjoy seeing Anitha's antics.. I am sure to be disgusted, irritated, annoyed, happy and sad during this track. But I am sure when I see Anitha, I will be laughing at the back of mind that the girl is a total nut case to fight for something that is not even hers in the first place.
I know that I will cry and laugh with Gopi and Ahem as they go throught the realization of what they mean to each other and I know I will fall all over in love again.
I know I will along with Koki be proud of Gopi vahu and hoot for her victory.. Along with that I will be hooting for Koki as puts Anitha down at every step, pulling apart Anitha's madness, layer by layer as she shows her that she is just an empty headed vamp..
This is drama at its best and I like it for the entertainment it will give us with UrShi trying all ways to bring Anitha down and maybe face the music themselves..
Overall, this is just awesome and it is bound to be awesome of course.
