Is Jigar just the opposite extreme of Aham

A very very unusual thought came to me as I watch the old episodes of Saathiya.. .I just wanted to articulate it the best I can so bear with me guys if the post becomes a little too long or short😳

So on one side we have Aham, a man of anger and passion who hated his wife at sight in the beginning of his marriage. He married a girl of his mother's choice and could not digest the fact that she was not what he thought she was. His hatred was so much that he did not give her any chance. No chances at all.. His journey of hatred continued so much that he was glad that she went out of the house and even then he never looked back. Circumstances made him take her back(Naani). Then more circumstances led him to see his wife for who she was truly and after more than a year of their marriage we see Aham falling in love slowly.. He is taking his own time to realize his feelings and is also testing hers.. A man of passion, we have seen him through his journey of hate and care and now love..

Lets take Jigar. Jigar also got married to different girl than the one he wanted. But unlike Aham he decided to take life as it comes. He started his life hoping for the best. He kept giving chances to his wife even when her behavior puzzled him to the core.. He never showed his displeasure at her mistakes. Their journey continued too till a point where he first saw his wife for the person she truly was. Even then Jigar was confused. The decision of sending his wife to her mother was taken out of his hands when his family came to know of the situation. Even then we saw him cry for the ruin that his marriage had become.
Like Aham, circumstances brought the same girl back to his house (Gopi.). But we see Jigar again falling for the same tricks as before. Unlike Aham who took a year to trust his wife after initially thinking she was a gold digger, Jigar has gone on to the next extreme and has already forgiven the biggest betrayal in his life. He is ready to go back to the relationship he had before the betrayal was brought to light.. He has given more chances to Rashi than anyone else..

But if we go by the same logic where Aham and Jigar have been acting in extremes when compared to their relationship with their spouses, is it now possible that as Aham and Gopi march forward in their relation slowly, Jigar also starts to see the truth for what it is?

What do you think will be the next step in their respective relationships?

as u say, aham hates gopi from the begining and but some times he shown some soft behaviour towards gopi but on very next day circumstences r cause him to hate gopi even more...
In jiger's case he loves rashi v.much from the begining and some times some things happened him to think twice about rashi but very next day he fall on to rashi...
So guys truth has come out in half away and aham started to realize that how gopi is, but he can't help as he want to realize it slowly and but in very next incident if some thing happen which proves gopi is wrong but extremly sure he will never get mad at gopi as before, but he will try to sort out the things and try to prove that gopi is innocent.
But now jiger's case is dif from the past and he had learned about rashi that how bad she is...so in that case if something come out thatl rashi still not mend up her ways that will be the most worst day of rashi's life.

It says storm is very powerfull when its on silent mode...
I want to say that jigers hidden anger is uncontrolable than aham's visible anger...
Ok after all g want to say is that gopi's good days r coming on its way and rashis bad days too coming ahead with arears

hope u can understand this pickle type reply which made by me

First of all let me say this is a very good thread and a very intense discussion. I agree with all the points you have made to show the differences between the brothers/cousins. I also feel slowly the equation of the situation is changing and now we are going to see more of Jigar acting like the angry Ahem and we are going to see Ahem being Jigar.
Saying that, I also don't see Ahem becoming completely like Jigar. His work is the most important thing to his mom and ergo him. So he may be love struck and lovey dovey at home. but I still expect him to be the hard and strict boss at work. Jigar on the other hand, will be more work oriented, but he will also not be as into his work as his brother. I just don't think he is shown to have the kind of tenacity it takes to get to where Ahem is.
So all in all in some ways we will see them morph into each other, while the basic of their personality stays the same.

I also agree with Nilu and you Harini...Rashi's bad days are a coming and Gopi's good days. I hope that thru these bad days Rashi starts to learn her lesson.

No Rupal.. You were not Babbling.. šŸ˜† Made absolute sense
It is true that Aham will never become Jigar totally. He is unique and knows the balance between love and other things in life. He will surely be passionate in love as he is passionate with work but he will balance both..

Jigar on the other hand, is not very passionate... I hope I make sense. He does not take things the way Aham does.. He is more like his mom and that is his weakness as well as strength depending on when that attribute comes out..šŸ˜•
When I wrote extremes, I wanted to show that both the men went through similar things with their wives.
- Married another girl and not the one they love/liked
- Went through a phase on betrayal (for Aham it was an illusion)
- Had to live with the woman they despised due to pressure and circumstances
- Fell in love with their wives

In all the above, they have taken opposite or the other extreme when they reacted to the situation. So now the question is what happens if it is proved again that Rashi has not changed and it is proved that Gopi was a victim...
How will each react when their illusion breaks?

The highlighted part is the million dollar question. I also want to see how Ahem, who is very proud and self confident of his own decisions in life, will take to the news that he was completely wrong about his wife. And Jigar, well its Jigar...and in time he will again melt at Rashi's sweetness and begin to go gaga on her again...unfortunately

I am waiting too Rupal.. It will not just be a dent to his pride but also will be a big blow to his fair attitude. He punished her for what he thought was her faults. But now all those punishments will come back to haunt him.. It will be interesting to see Aham in that role..
And totally agree with Jigar. He will melt pretty soon I guess, sooner than we will want..šŸ˜•

Jigar is a very good person at heart , and he will forgive rattie by the end of the week. I do not htink jigar has longterm memory... coz if he did , he really love sonel and all the things rattie did ... Jigar is to much like his mother , no longterm memory.. so no matter what rashi does jigar will alwys forget in a couple of weeks like his mother. Jigar is a hopeless case.
