Ahem and Gopi were in the mandir waiting for their turn at the arti. When Koki and Parag were done, they asked GoEm to start their puja. When Gopi moved the arti thali towards Ahem and he held it their hands met...and Ahem and Gopi look at each other and had a nice eye lock and then Ahem just smiled at her and they continued to do the arti. Gopi was so happy that nowadays Ahemji had started to touch her and caress her in small ways. Ahem started to help her put on her jewelry in the mornings and he would always caress her back with her finger while looking at her from the mirror and they would smile at each other. Ahem himself found it hard to resist touching Gopi and caressing her. These days he found himself more and more in love with her. He wished there was a way for him to express his love to her. He had tried many times and something or the other would prevent him from going any further. This morning it was his mom.

Gopi was getting ready at the dresser, waiting for Ahem to come out of the bathroom so he could put her necklace on for her. These moments she cherished every day. And when Ahem came out he did not disappoint. He dropped his towel on the bed and walked to her and put his hand out so Gopi could give him her necklace. He went behind her and stood there for a moment looking at Gopi and vice versa. After he was done he helped Gopi put bangles on her hand and then he held on to them and helped her stand up in front of him. They both looked at each other for a long time and then Ahem brought Gopi's hand to his lips and kissed it. It took both of them by surprise. Ahem was wanting to do it, but did not realize he was so into the thought that he had done it. But since he had he wanted to tell her how she made him feel. Ahem pulled Gopi closer to him slowly and then he held her by cupping her face and looked into her eyes and was about to say the three magic words when his mom started banging on the door asking why Gopi vau was not downstairs yet. Ahem got frustrated and said she is in the bathroom and she will be right out. He then said Mom I am changing so I cannot open door right now. He then turned towards Gopi to finish what he started but he kept hearing his mom outside the door and the whole atmosphere had changed killing the romantic moment. He just put his forehead to hers and said are we ever going to get to be alone without interruptions? Gopi just smiled shyly and ran the back of her finger on his cheek and said I have to go and get breakfast ready. Ahem held her for two more seconds, long enough to tell her they are going to finish this by today.
Back to present...
After the arti was done the men had their breakfast and then left for the office. Ahem and Gopi did not get a chance to come in contact enough to feel each other even for a sec. When Gopi was done with her work in the afternoon she went to her room and went to the almari and was caressing Ahemji's clothes while thinking about him. Just then her phone buzzed. She picked it up and said hello Ahemji. Ahem smiled and said what are you doing? I bet you were thinking about me, that is why I called. Gopi blushed even though he was not there. Ahem said I knew it. Ahem said Gopi voh...I want to really talk to you, and I don't want to do it when we are going to be interrupted. So I was wondering if you and I could stay up late and talk. Gopi blushed even harder and said what did you want to talk about. Ahem said if I wanted to say it now then why wait. I want to be with you when I talk to you...ok. Gopi said yes and they both hung up.
In the evening when Gopi went upstairs to give Ahem his tea, they both again stood there looking at each other till Ahem decided this is ridicules and went to Gopi and took her by the hand and brought her close to him. Then he hugged her and said at least I can hug you can't I. Gopi hugged him back and Ahem said Gopi, I like this. I like to hug you and I like to look into your eyes and loose myself. Gopi I wish we had some time for ourselves instead of having people come at the worst times. Gopi said no one is here right now...just you and I. Ahem then loosened the hug a little, enough to look at her and said yes we are here alone. He then kissed her forehead and said I have a very beautiful wife. Gopi looked down and blushed again. Ahem then hugged her again and said I am very lucky. Gopi I want you to know I am trying to change and be a better man that you can be proud of. Gopi looked at him and said I am very proud of my husband. You work hard and you make sure your family is always taken care of. Ahem then said yes that may be true, but I want to be a better husband to you. The kind you deserve. Then Ahem said I have a confession to make. Gopi when we first got married I always thought you were not good enough for me, and slowly I have come to realize that there is no other person who is good enough for me other than you. Gopi I want to tell you that I have fallen head over heels in love with you and I cannot live without you anymore. While Ahem was talking his eyes had started to water just thinking about how he had treated Gopi and how much he needed her with him. And Gopi had started to cry too because she could not see her Ahemji in tears and he had actually told her he loved her. She has been waiting a long time to hear him say those words. They looked at each other and Gopi while wiping Ahem's tears said I am so happy today. It seems all my dreams have come true. The man I am madly in love with loves me back. Ahemji I have always loved you and I now have your love, I feel complete. Ahem then leaned into Gopi and kissed her gently on the lips. He wanted to take it further but he knew that the family would be waiting for them downstairs. When he was done kissing her lightly, he said Gopi I want you to know I am going to do everything to make sure you are never sad and that you never shed a tear because of me. And if anyone else makes you cry then they are going to have to deal with me and my wrath. Gopi smiled and hugged Ahem real tight and said I am so happy you are finally in love with me. Ahem hugged Gopi and said I am happy you still love me and Gopi...he made her look at him and said I have been in love with you for some time now, but I could not say it for some reason. And today in the morning when I finally had the nerve to speak up mom came asking for you. Gopi then said I felt your love Ahemji, I kind of knew. But to hear it from you is wonderful. Ahem leaned into her and kissed her again and said my Gopi is the most beautiful woman I know. And I love you Gopiji...They smiled at each other and decided to go downstairs and join the family.
