I think in a joint family everyone needs to be very clear on their roles and responsilbilites.
If it is accepted that the youngsters listen to their elders then all youngsters need to listen to the wishes of all their elders.
However in the Modi household there have been times when Kokila has said to Hetal that she shouldn't get involved between Gopi and her - in that case the roles need to be clearly marked. Only Hetal has the right to say anything to Rashi, so whether she scolds or lets things slide it shouldn't matter to Koki.
That said, the Modi's don't work like that. They are a joint family in a complete sense - they live together, they eat together and they work together. They see themselves as sum parts of a whole so in this situation Hetal's attitude of letting things slide doesn't bode well. I think she needs to make Rashi face up to her actions and follies instead of trying to mollify her at times. And although Koki can be harsh she is similar in her treatment to anyone who does wrong.

I think the reason Koki tells hetal to back of when it comes to her and her gopi vahu šŸ˜†is that she knows once if gopi has hetals support then she might also end up like rashi 😭

Hetal is a grown up Gopi, no difference there. I think without Koki and her attitude the family would not be where they are at. Both Chirag and Hetal are Dayavans (they are too giving).

Having said this I think Koki needs to learn to cool down a bit and take things calmly. She needs to think before jumping to conclusion. She kept her mouth shut at Rashi's smirks and this is how she needs to deal with Rashi and Urmila.

100% true...Koki needs to keep a keen eye on Rashi and not let it be known she knows what is going on. And Hetal needs to understand her Devrani. She knows Koki is a fighter against the wrongs and she stands up and salutes the right. So having said that, I think Hetal should at least take Koki's words to heart and try and look at things differently/. Maybe even see Rashi for what she is...Then she can get rid of her annoying mantra...
