shipla my point of view is koki is afraid of losing aham.
i angry at her word samaj seva, does helping a family member that too a bro is samaj seva.
okay i agree she knows about rashi, she should have kept a strick eye on her.
shouting at gopi was unnecessary.
well she wants aham to be a best business man, but he has a life to live. the future of the family lies with aham and gopi. only if they love the others their family can stand unitied.
she fails to see this.

I totally agree. This is my take to just make sense of why Koki said what she said. I am not saying it is correct only that it is as expected in these circumstances.

So lets take a step back and look at the trigger of this outburst.. The first trigger came on weeks before when Koki found Ahem missing work and hiding things from her.. But the final one was yesterday. The Kangan she thought her son bought her was actually for Rashi. So comes the question . Why did Koki find it so surprising and why was she disappointed. So here is my take.

To Koki, Ahem considers his relation with her as the first priority. All other relations come later, be it with Gopi or with Jigar. So yesterday, it was obvious to her that the Kangan was for her. Her son had heard about the Kangans she loved that were broken. Hence he had bought new ones in their place just for her.. She was glad, proud, happy etcc.,
But the next minute, Ahem's actions made her crash down with a thud. He had bought them for Jigar and that too to gift Rashi.
Now first Koki is disappointed, angry, tearful, hurt, humiliated and what not.. She had been so sure of her son and her importance in his life. So when she saw him give the bangles to Jigar, her mind (though totally wrong) would have equated this gesture to her relationship. With this act Ahem has just showed her that he considers his relation with Jigar as more important. Kinda makes sense why she was angry with Jigar and Ahem hugged, doesn't it?
Koki is totally wrong in her thought process but she cannot see beyond what she she considers as Ahem's betrayal.
So in her humiliation (that is what she would have felt), anger at being disappointed, she comes hope today. She then finds Gopi. She lashed out.. It was bound to happen because Koki considers Gopi as one of her own and a part of Ahem. Plus she feels betrayed by Gopi also. She saw Ahem and Gopi talk before the kangan was given. In her mind, she has linked both.
When she told her that Gopi now has no time for the likes of her, the sentence has a direct bearing to what she considers as her weakened status in their minds..
Actually what was unsaid was that she finds it more damning that 'EVEN' to Gopi, she comes second... First it was her son and the second was her DIL who she considers a daughter. So to her, everyone she considers important and her close circle have now ignored her. The final nail in the head.
Hence she lashed out and hurt Gopi in the process. I think the mention of Ahem triggered her anger further. She is now ready to burst.

So when the clients are ignored for the Kangans again, Koki will be more broken. Now it means that her son has also forgotten her advices. He first gave his brother more importance, now he is neglecting her advices that he once considered as bible. A big blow to a proud women. This will cause her outburst to be more striking. She is not going to listen to reason. She will not be satidfied until she makes the other person feel the same amount of hurt she is now facing..

So the question on why she considers helping Jigar as 'Samaj Seva'. Words that are so wrong.. But Kokila is proud. She will never want Ahem to see that she is hurt due to not getting her Kangan. Hence to hide that fact she is using words she thinks are close yet very far away from the truth.. Like us, Ahem will not understand the 'Samaj Seva' piece. Will his mother consider helping his brother as social service. Of course not..
But what Ahem will have to understand is that those words are meant to be hurtful. They are to show that the relation he gave importance to (Brother-Brother), prioritizing above his relation with his mother is of no importance to her, Kokila.. Unsaid words..

By experience, when people who are proud and dominating are hurt or humiliated, the words that come out of their mouth is very abuive and hurtful, just because they are meant to do just that, hurt. But it does not mean that they mean what they say.

One more thing, even if Ahem tries to reason with her tomorrow, Kokila will not listen. Even if she finds that she is at fault, she will not agree. So don't expect any rational behaviour from her tomorrow.

A very long post I know.. But just wanted to explain my view.. Again Kokila may not be right but her actions are understandable..

In my point of view even though she is proved right later or at least justified to some extent... But her words... the way she said it... I don't think so...

I don't understand the need to call Ahem helping Jigar an act of social service.. Her expression when she saw Jigar hug Ahem didn't make any sense... What reason does a mother have to boil with rage if her son shares a bond with his first cousin?

Ok, I get it.. she doesn't trust Rashi but she and Hetal had decided to give her a second chance right? So, if Ahem is trying to help Jigar move on... is that a crime. Ok, it is against her character and the "training" she has given him... but "social service" that is a very strong word.

Think about it...
