Why do people enjoy making fun of other people's phobia? You won't believe what happened with me at my cousin's house. I didn't know they have a dog and I went over there because it was her b-day - I didn't want to be rude... plus I lost my granny so I don't feel like going out that much other than work and basic needs.. Well I listen to my mother and went over, but it turn out to be killer... And the phobia of mine against dogs killed me. 😭 and they were making fun of my phobia - by bring it toward me. I had to ask one of my friend to help me out by calling me...

And now when I am at home the phobia of mine is killing me inside.. I feel everything is coming onto me. Its making me sick inside that I wanna throw up..

Why are people so cruel and mean? Why?

First thing it is good that u spoke out..sometimes phobia towards something actually kills us making depressed which further lower r performance in work...n now about people cruel...its their way of thinking sometimes they try to make fun but in returns hurt a lot...i would say leave out that n go on with ur life...people have a bad habit of speaking n interfere in someone life but its most imp how u overcome it n stay cool in front of them...have a glass of water when u feel depressed.i would like to tell my way of removing anger is that i bang pen on the floor n seeing it broken relieve my anger

It happens dear all others who doesn't have any fear about anything thinks its something silly
and they think they can cure our fear doing such things
It happened to me once ( oh i can't say what my phobia is 😆 )
and i yelled out! blasted down all of them

don't think im rude, we can only be nice to people
who is nice to us

if they can't understand what this is really about whats the point of explaining them? just ignore it 😉

if you don't like something just move on from there
no problem to anyone

if they really need us they can change for us that won't make any harm to them will it?

Thanks! I knew that I can't open up in-front of my family at home, but I am glad I have another family over here in India Forum where I can share my thoughts out. It feels better to share than keeping it inside. Thank you so much for those thoughtful replies - it help me.. compose myself.

When I went to India.. people down there understood my phobia, but over-here my own cousins' didn't (but that didn't hurt the most) only the part where my brother was laughing at me with them (that hurt the most).

Indeed - you are right! Its nice to move on in life, but what if those are your own family members who don't understand-- that's where it becomes hard to walk out... If today my friend didn't call me and said what happen to our movie plan than I would still be there and god knows how worst it could have been. I don't get it! Why do people make fun of tradition? I want to know something - would you celebrate your birthday in the next month after loosing someone dear (like death). I lost my granny on Dec. 18 2011 and next day my cousin lost her grandfather (on her mom side - like mine) and it hasn't been a month yet and she is celebrating a birthday. I just don't understand! Today when I went shopping - I bought roses (to put beside my granny's picture) and my dad was saying why you bought expensive flowers. I told him - money don't matter to me, but the pain of loosing my granny hurts the most and doing something for her (I don't care of the cost) at the moment.

Why people make fun of others emotions? Its like you can't even share your thoughts out or else people would judge you (even though they do). Its life and you have to move on.

I personally don't know how close I was with my granny because they live in India and I live here in Canada, but I just don't like doing anything.. I fought with my mom saying I don't want to attend my cousin's party, but always my faith is against me. Anyways I just don't want to think about today's incident. It freaks me out!

I would like to ask you one question?

Do accidents and calamities going to inform anyone? No,it happens spontaneously and simultaneously. It is obvious that we fear for those uncertain things or sudden shocks in the same way you have phobia towards dogs.Every person will be having phobia towards certain things. There is no amazeness to make fun of your phobia. And it shows how cheap they are.

One more thing you keep in mind. You trust yourself first and ignore those who make fun of you.

Not all the people are cruels and not all are good.It depends how they grow and develop their characters and behaviours. There is no need to become sick. You have the common phobia what every person has and had.😊
