Guilt or love whatever the feeling may be but he is indeed a very distraught hubby at the moment. He was as 'sounding brass and tinkling cymbals'... the savvy businessman with razor sharp intellect & exalted perfection does not know how to save his dear wife. The truth of the moment was that with all his power & money he could not buy BLOOD to save his wife.

We the audience are left sympathizing with him & his object of affection Gopi :)

I believe he is in love wud gopi if it was only guilt then his fb would have been abt the accident , or before at the car when she was scared , he would have thought abt his wedding nite . I think its gopi who believes its
Being done out of guilt.he wouldn't voice his feelings yet , but he is a firm beleiver of action speaks louder than words.

Gopi still doesnt know that ahem loves her..Thats why she is calling it guilt.. Only ahem knows that he is very much in love with gopi and want her to live

Ahem loves gopi. i do not know whether he himself has realized it yet but Gopi is going to think / believe that its his guilt. remember when gopi's hand got injured during diwali with that crackers? He said that he will do this to any human being [don't remember the exact dialogues]

It is without a doubt love.

Ahem has found love in the form of Gopi. She has taught him that life can be colourful as well as the black and white that he sees. She has brought warmth through her devotion to her kanaji and shown her humane and caring nature to him for caring for him. Without her he cannot be the man he is.
