Gopi iii...How could it happen..I was following her like a Shadow..but still I could not protect her...Gopi ...Gopi...
Ahem ran franctically to protect her by the time he reached out to her she was burried behind sheets of asbestors & bricks...He pulled the sheets aside to see her unconscious..he just did not know what to do. At this point he realised that his Life was in front of him. The trust he saw in her eyes when he said that he will be there for her...he was not there for when she needed him.
He heard Jigar calling him, Rashi following him, he turned around with Gopi in his hands & started running. Nothing can happen to her. Jigar get the car ready, Gopi is hurt. Every passing minute he felt defeated, he could not protect her. All 4 of them were in the car, he holding Gopi in the backseat, Jigar & Rashi in the front. Rashi & Jigar both kept on turning back worried..looking at Gopi. Jigar - drive fast...Rashi call your home & inform everyone. After that call this no. & inform the police inspector that we are on the way to the hospital.
The minute Jigar stopped the car, with Gopi in his hands he got out of the car. He placed her on the strecher & called for the doctor. Why are you shouting ? what happened? He saw a nurse asking him these questions, he could not wait anymore..He shouted at her, My Wife is hurt do something about it, She has been unconscious for sometime now...Please do something...please...
He saw her being wheeled away...at the same time he saw his family & Jigar & Rashi coming to him. He was being hit by a voley of questions from everyone...thats when he heard the nurse asking for the patients husband. He stepped forward ...what he heard next devasted him. The doctor joined them & asked him to sign papers which said whatever happened to the patient the hospital was not responsible. He heard his kaka asking the doctor why is it requried. He heard the doctor said since the patient had an head injury, they are not sure on how she will respond to the treatment. She may survive or may not surive. Please pray for the patient.
He saw the shock on everyone's faces but he had to do it. He signed the papers in column which said "Husband". He kept staring at the column. Husband !!! Even before he understood the word completely , he was here in the hospital ...How did it happen...at this point it struck him...that he cannot think about living without her even for a sec !!!! She is mine, my love, my life, my wife...😊.
He looked around for the other women in his life...his mom..she looked worried & anxious...worry was clearly etched on her face...he made way to her hugged her & cried to his heart content...Mom please pray that nothing happens to Gopi...pls mom...I cannot live without her...
After what appeared to be a lifetime the doctor cameout & said ...as of now she looks stable...we have all her vital organs covered but since she has had a head injury, we will have to observe her. Ahem insisted all the parents leave & he would call all of them if required. He wanted them to have rest. Convincing his mom was the difficult...but then he requested her & thats when Jigar, Rashi,mamji & Dhaval insisted that they will stay.
Around 8 in the morning, nurse cameout & told them that Gopi has been responding & that in few minutes they can meet her in the room. As Gopi was settled in the room, everyone was in the room. Ahem just could not move his eyes from her. Looking at her gave Im at peace which I missed...I just wanted to go hug her.
As he moved to be with her, he heard her voice. She was looking at Rashi, but not him. This disappointed him. Then he heard her saying Rashiben aapki shaadi hogayi? kab? ..everyone were suprised & looked at each other. What did she say, of all Rashiben? He approached her then she looked at him gave a smile & said aap mere Jigaji hai na. Ahem jijagi...Why did you not call me for the wedding? When did you all get married. jigaji I had seen your photo when mami showed it to Rashiben thats how I remember. He looked at her as if she was mad, what is wrong with her. Jigar saw his brother needed support from what was going on, the entire family was suprised & were looking at each other for support. He moved next to Ahem. Ahem called out Gopi & then the doctor walked & called her Mrs Gopi Modi...she looked suprised.
She stopped the doctor & said Im Miss Gopi Shah, Im not Mrs Gopi Modi. The doctor looked at her trying to read her...then he understood. You are Mrs. Gopi Modi & here is your husband. She looked suprised at everyone & Mamaji is what she called out...what is everyone saying...when did I get married. As she was getting restless, the doctor in the meantime gave an injection & she slowly fell asleep...He called all of them into his cabin.
Ahem Modi, I think your wife due to the head injury has amnesia. At this point we cannot tell how much has she been effected , we will need to conduct more tests. As of now for next 2 days please keep it simple with her. Do not complicate things. The next 2 days Ahem was all around speaking to doctors to understand her situation. Only Rashi & Mamaji were with her in the room. Further investigation suggested few more tests to be conducted after a week.
Gopi on the other hand saw only Rashi & Mamaji once in the day...she asked them when did she get married, Rashiben please tell me. Gopi , you & I got married on the same day to brothers of the same family. Ahem Modi & Jigar Modi. The nurse had come to take her for further tests. And today she was being dischared from the hospital. Howmuch ever she tried to recollect she could not remember anything about her husband. With not knowing what to expect she got ready to leave to home which she does not know.
Ahem was so happy, today Im takingGopi back to home. When Rashi told him that she explained about their marriage to Gopi, he was happy. Come whatever, I will take care of Gopi. I will get her treated & in the meantime be her memory for her. I will show her how much I love her !!! After the discharge formalities were complete he went to the room. He saw Rashi & Jigar helping her pack her stuff. He smiled at the suprise at home. All his family had decorated the entire house & waiting for them. Her mama & mami were also there.
Jigar, I have completed the formalities lets go. Gopi sat in the backseat, he was disappointed but maybe she wanted to rest. Thats ok. With Jigar next to him they reached home. At the entrance were both his mom & kaki standing with 2 thalis to welcome them all. Ahem waited for Gopi to get down & walked next to her. What he heard next turned his life completely upside down !!!
Rashiben why are you standing there. Rashi was suprised, she was about to say when she heard aap Ahem Jigaji ke pass Kade rahiye,, mein Jigarji ke saath kade rahti hoon. Woh mera pati hai na !!! 😛
