The words rung in Aham's ears. When his mother had offered to go, he had outright refused. There was no way he was going to let mom or his kaki go anywhere those gundas. Not if he had anything to say about it.
Thankfully, both of them agreed.
But Gopi, when her mami had asked her for help, obviously she did not say no.
If he was truthful, he knew that it would be Gopi who would go from the minute the kidnappers asked for a woman to bring the money. He knew that Gopi would not be in peace until she saw her Rashi ben safe and sound. Her tears wouldn't dry up until Rashi got home.
And so he did not stop her.
No he was not surprised. Gopi was like that - she went out of her way for everybody. She never thought wrong of anyone, and if people she considered family needed a huge sacrifice from her, she would do it without blinking.
" Are you sure, Gopi?"
She nodded, tears streaming down her eyes.
But that did not mean she would let her go alone. Not when he was there. If it had to be this way, he would go with her, he would remain by her side, and if those gundas so much as lifted their eyes towards her then -
A warmth spread over his chest and remained there. It was a little ball of fire in his chest, slowly burning brighter and brighter. His decision was made.
" Fine. I'll let you go. But on the condition that I am coming with you. I'll always be with you, like your shadow. Even if you cannot see me, i'll always be with you" he said meaning every syllable he uttered, his heart beating rapidly.
He knew this was dangerous, but he had never been so sure about anything else before. Gopi was in danger, and he would protect her. He would step in front of any danger that looked her way.
Wherever she went, he went.
Even in darkness.

Yea, a little something on today's episode! Needless to say I loved it !! :) At the moment it is an OS, but I might add more to this on the coming up episodes!! :)
PS - Kudos to the dialogue writer on today's dialogues!! Loved Aham calling himself Gopi's 'Parchai'! 😃
