Also I think he will go upstairs but won't say immediately come with me, keep quiet etc, I think he will comfort her first, as she will be in tears so he will do say (stop crying Gopi) and possibly hug her there, and when she stops crying she will clean her face, then he will say as per precap, as Gopi left crying and when in the precap no tears are in evidence.

Yes I agree, this will also be another moment where he will reassure her thus helping her gain self confidence and raise her self-esteem, just like when she went back to school after the cheating incident, she remembered his words, which made her confident enough to face her classmates.
