PART 24: Beware this part is very sorrowful and heartbreaking
" Sanjay please tell me what happen, Sanjay!! am talking to you how come Gopi fainted. Kajal said you two were in your study and found Gopi fainted in your arms. Sanjay!! come to your senses".When no amount of shouting and shaking is doing nothing to him, Sara gave him a tight slap and that made the job as he looked at her confused and murmuring to himself " not again, not now". " Listen Sanjay you are scaring me and Kajal, what are you murmuring about and what happened..."
" Madam, we need to talk to the patient's immediate family as it's a serious case". Sara was in tartars and did not know what was going on and with tears flowing and a shaky voice she asked " doctor her husband has been informed and should be on his way but what is the problem please tell me something". "All I can say at the moment is that patient's case is serious and the sooner you can get her husband here the better." With that he left and Sara slumped to the seat next to Sanjay who seems to have lost it completely and was being comforted by Kajal.
" Maa what are you doing here and that too without informing me or anyone so that we could sent a car to pick you up". Her mother blessed everyone and then turned to her and said " koyli You do not need to sent me a car always to come here anyway I was feeling restless these days and decided to visit so tell me what is about Ahem missing and your bahu at hospital. If your bahu is at hospital then Ahem should be there with her, isn't it and why are you all here and not by Gopi bahu's side ." All stood dump founded as her mother was not aware of Gopi leaving until " Naaniji it's just that Gopi left this place long time ago and nobody knows where she is and as for Ahemjiju he did not go to work today and has not return home yet since this morning so you see..." Rashi blurted and Kokila shouted at her for telling her mom about Gopi.
Everyone was glaring at Rashi now when a mobile ringing interrupted them. "What! Sara! but the line went dead again and when Jigar called her back, she was not picking up the phone and then he turned to his family with tears streaming down his cheeks and said " Gopi bhabi is dying". The whole MM house felt like a mouring place as it went dead silence. " Since we cannot find bhai at the moment, we all need to be by bhabi's side" Jigar concluded and headed out blindly followed by his entire family except Rashi who excused herself saying she need to prepare food for everyone and will bring it to the hospital later.
As soon as the family left she was on the phone with her mum delivering the latest news to her and told her that under no circumstance should her dad know until her funeral. " Rashi, God is good to us now that gawar will die and so will her Ahem and you get control of Jigar and see soon you will rule MM and that kadgri will be our slave for good." " Yes mummy you are right but what do you mean so will Ahemjiju". " Listen after you told me that Jigar wants to divorce you, I came up a plan and hired some goons to threaten Ahem but they told me that they cut his car breaks and saw the car diving in the deep water so you see gikri there is only Jigar left and that part you have to handle well if you want to rule MM. "Mummy if they know about Ahemjiju then you can go to jail and so will I and we will only be ruling the jail house". Shut up Rashi and start you drama ok bue now.
As soon as the modi family reach the hospital they were met by an inflated Sara who stumped on them like a mad bull " wow now what a great site, here comes the great modi family of Rajkot who did not give a darn about anyone but their prestige and where is the your arrogant brother Jigar or did he decide he has what he wanted and to hell with her."
"Sara this is not the place to be expressing your hurt rather we all are worried for bhabi and bhai..."
She interrupted him " worried no Jigar you all cannot possibly be as I called you some three hours ago and up till now your brother has not shown his disgusted face and what do you modis think that she has no one well you are wrong she had me, yes me and her brother and sister she did not need any of you. What wrong had she done to you all apart from loving you and you know what her last words were, do you, well let me spell it out for you A H E M J I." By now all Sara was doing was spitting venom at the modis who looked glummed and stunned at her last statement.
Kokila approach her and said I don't know you but why speak ill of my Gopi bahu, what rubbish are you talking. Sara without caring a darn said " Mrs Kokila Modi get this fact straight GOPI AHEM MODI IS NO MORE."
The whole hospital vibrated at the sound of the slap that Kokila gave to Sara and was about to add more when the doctor came and confirm the news to them leaving them shattered. Both Kokila and Hetal fainted as the news of her death suck the breath out of them. At the corner of his clouded eyes, Jigar thought he saw a glimps of his bhabi being wheeled out on a stretcher but with all the commotions going on he ignored it and concentrated on his distrouted family. After a couple of minutes both ladies regained conciousness but were never to be the same and so was the whole family.
"Jigar can you go to the doctor and get the documents to release the body" his father said but was stopped once again by Sara who informed them that her brother has done all the formalities and has officers guarding the mortuary and has strick orders no Modi member is allowed near her body. " You people forfeited your rights on her when you let her leave MM and now that she found her own family we will do all the rituals needed for her and you are all not welcome." " How can you say that Gopi had no brother" asked Parag
" Oh yes she did" came an unknown voice to them except Jigar who looked up to see Kajal with him. " You can ask your sons, isn't it Jigar and where is the great Ahem Modi when his wife asked for him, anyway am her family and I can single handedly handle her matter so if you excuse me." He mutted and left heartbroken that this is actually the family that Gopi loved and got loved.
The whole family way leaving the hospital broken when Jigar saw Kajal at the entrance looking at him as if she wanted to tell him something but was immediately pulled away by Sara. " Jigar I think I dropped my phone inside so please get it" his dad interjected his thoughts. When he went in he saw Kajal and decided to have a word with her and find out what happened to his bhabi as this might help his family understand the circumstances of her demise.
Kajal was startled when Jigar pulled her to one of the rooms near byand sealed her mouth not to shout but he just wants to talk. They hid behind the door and were pressed so tightly together as the it was a cleaning closet. Their nearness was causing havoc for them and each was tense due to what happened and their feelings was not helping either. " Please Kajal hear me out I need to know what happened to bhabi." "Why Jigarji I mean why should I fill you in huh, Di loves you all and when she was dying none of you came and now you want answers to cover your guilt.Please let me go, bhai was right you Modis are a master piece, first you give false hope, love and then dump us when it satisfies you so you see Mr Jigar Modi am lucky to have my brother protect me from you before it's too late unlike Di who waited on end for Ahemjiju to come but he was full of shit to even come to her rescue."
" You don't know anything about my brother Kajal and rest assured bhai loved bhabi with all his heart and wound have been here had he known about it." Tears streaming down his eyes ha added " bhai has been missing since this morning and we tried all our contacts but to no avail and I fear for the worse for him but if ever we find him, then this will be his biggest punishment not being with bhabi to the end." " Well Jigarji that explains it all your brother did not want to take care of his responsibilities and made a runner and left Di to shame and die."
"kajal! my brother did everything he could to find bhabi before cause he loved her and would have done anything to protect her so he is not one to be afraid of responsibilities as he was doing it for so long at such a young age so you see your accusation is false." " Fine Jigarji maybe my accusation is false but were was he when his loved one called for and where is he now when she still... it's pointless Jigarji what happened has happened and cannot be changed. " You are hiding something from me Kajal, please tell me please. " Jijarji there is nothing to tell it's over and bhai has arranged for the funeral next week as he can't stay here anymore. " It's not over yet Kajal not over and before she could make out his meaning he consumed her lips in a fierce kiss and added pressure when she protested by pinning her to the wall in the small space, the more she protest the harder he would kiss her and relax to a passionate one when she relented and was kissing him back. Jigar was so consumed with need that he started stroking her breast on her garment sending fire through her and making her whimper and moaning and grounding. He wanted to feel her more and raise her top to get access and her soft silky skin was smooth and he blindly kept moving his hands upwards until a loud sound outside the door alerted them and made them concious and both stopped and pulled themselves together " like I said Kajal it's not over yet".
The burial was held two weeks later with presence of Sanjay,Kajal and Sara with their friends whilst the Modis were kept at bay and not to be 500 yards near the Singhanias. During that time the Modis have files a missing person's report of Ahem without any luck.
I know it's not what you were expecting but just think and read for clues in this part for the next update
